✨EP Race Report 25/10/26✨
It was marathon time for two of the gang - Scott Houston and Stu Elsam where they both travelled to Amsterdam 🇳🇱
Scott has trained extremely well during the block and has made some excellent progress. The target was sub 3:30 which he narrowly missed with a time 3:31 but with a few more weeks of longer run work to build that fatigue resistance he will no doubt go well under this time in the future 👍🏻
Stu has had a disrupted build due to a few factors so this one was about enjoying the experience and ticking off another city marathon. Stu achieved this comfortably and enjoyed the weekend with a time of 4:51 👏🏻
It was the second round of the North Staffs XC League this time at Stafford. We once again had three athletes racing. Will Slater and Matt Harper were running for their club Newcastle Tri Club and Mick Hutchins for City of Stoke AC 🏃🏻🏃🏼♂️
Will is improving week by week where he recorded his fastest time on that course with a 26:31 👌🏻
Matt continues to use the XC races as strength builders where he had another solid run in a time of 31:15 🙌🏻
Mick improved on his performance from the first round at Betley with a stronger run in a time of 29:10 👏🏻
Paul Ford and Andy Foster traveled to Valencia for the Hyrox event 🇪🇸🕺🏻
Andy who has been making gains in his running had a super race coming home in 1hr 20mins ✊🏼
Paul has been with the group only a few weeks and is fairly new to competitive racing but showed signs of progress with a time of 2hrs 17mins - with a consistent approach some big gains to come for sure 💪🏻
Andy Firth was over at the Berlin Half Marathon helping a friend to a sub 1:30 👌🏻
This weekend saw Phil Land having his second hit out over the 10k distance. As many will know Phil is known for his excellent cycling time trialling but we have been including some running for a good few months now. The consistency is certainly paying off where Phil bettered his Manchester 10k time by around 90 secs at the Crewe 10k this morning with a time of 44:18 🔥
Well done team 👏🏻👏🏻
