We are an charity run by Disabled people offering support, advocacy and training to Disabled people. We don't think disability is dealt with very well.

We are a disabled person's user led organisation in Doncaster. We offer advice, support and assistance to anyone encountering one of the many barriers facing disabled people, and those who care for them. We're here to change that.

Come along and join us at the Doncaster Artful Balance Group for our Christmas Crafting. Decorating ornaments for your Christmas Trees. You can choose from wooden, pottery or clear bauble ornaments. Let’s get creative with paint, glitter, glue, ribbons or any other embellishments you choose. If you have anything you wish to use to make them Christmassy bring them along. This is out last Crafting Session before the Christmas Party held at the same place on 16th December x

Free reusable period products for residents in Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham

Hey Girls are a social enterprise who aim to improve access to quality, sustainable period products and raise the standard of education around periods.

Around 200,000 tonnes of disposable period products make their way into waste each year, and these products are made up of 90% plastic on average. We are working with Hey Girls to help reduce this by giving residents access to reusable period products, to help reduce the amount of single-use plastic making its way into our waste streams.

Residents can apply for one of the following, free of charge:
• The full cycle kit, which includes 1x Reusable Pantyliner, 2x Regular Reusable Pads, 2x Super Reusable Pads and a washbag made with recycled material
• The cup combo kit, which includes 1x Period Cup, 1x Sterilising Pot and a washbag made with recycled material
• 3 pairs of reusable period pants, sizes ranging from XS-4XL

Are you a carer, or do you have family members over State Pension age?

Many older people think they can't get Pension Credit, but getting a disability or carer’s benefit can change that! Adding these extra amounts can mean qualifying for Pension Credit for the very first time:

Extra £86.05/week – If you receive Attendance Allowance, PIP, ADP, AFIP, or DLA (middle/highest care component).
Extra £48.15/week – If you claim Carer’s Allowance or Carer Support Payment (even if you aren't paid it directly due to your State Pension).

Even if you’ve been turned down for Pension Credit in the past, a new disability or caring role could mean you are eligible now!
