✨Meet Nadine, one of our Non Executive Directors ✨
“ For me, joining EmpowerMama was initially about supporting a friend, but it’s also something I genuinely believe in. As a teacher, I’ve learned first-hand how important the early developmental stages are for both mother and baby, and how much those early experiences can shape wellbeing and development.
I think mental wellbeing is so important, but it’s not always talked about as openly as it should be. There can be so much focus on the physical side of pregnancy and caring for a baby that the emotional side can sometimes get overlooked. Having a safe space where women feel listened to, understood and supported, without judgement, is so valuable.
What I love about EmpowerMama is its focus on wellbeing, connection and making sure women feel supported rather than having to navigate everything on their own. I think we often hear the phrase “it takes a village”, but I’ve come to believe it takes a community. A community where people look out for one another, feel comfortable asking for help and know they’re not alone.
That’s what makes being part of EmpowerMama so meaningful to me, and I’m really happy to support something that’s helping to build that. 💗”
