A little more vulnerable than my usual posts 🤍

Tomorrow is my first day back in clinic and if I’m honest…I don’t feel completely like myself yet.

There’s a little voice in my head saying, “Why would anyone want to come and see you when you look like that?”

And then there’s another voice saying, “You’ve got this.”

Both can exist at the same time!

I think sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to look polished, confident and like we have everything together, especially in this industry!

I might not feel 100% confident walking back into clinic tomorrow, but I know I’m good at what I do. I know how much I care about my clients. And I know confidence doesn’t always mean feeling amazing…

Sometimes it just means showing up 🤍

So here’s to getting back to clinic and start getting my pink back…one step at a time✨

My brain has been trying to come up with creative ways to increase engagement on our page and get my diary filling up ready for my return…

The problem is, I have absolutely no recent content, I’m terrible at creating content and, quite frankly, I don’t really do anything interesting enough to film.

BUT…

I am very good at running through Cardiff dressed as a chicken 🐔

So here we are…

Honestly, if this doesn’t get me a few bookings, I don’t know what will 😂

Back in clinic October…diary is already starting to fill, so if you’ve been waiting for me to return… you know what to do. 👀

A little love for the career that’s taken me places I never imagined 🤍

From nurse training as a single mum, to specialising, prescribing, mentoring students, graduating twice and now building a business with one of my favourite nurse friends.

Funny where nursing can take you… 🤍

And now I’m back from maternity leave and apparently I have to become a content creator too. I’m much better with a syringe than I am with a camera, so bear with me!

Six months of maternity leave 🤍

I’ve been busy soaking up every second with my little darling, enjoying the slower days and making the most of this precious time with my family. We’ve been crocheting, gardening, baking… basically embracing my inner 1950s housewife 😂🧶🌿🧁

But whilst I’ve been off enjoying maternity leave, Shani has been keeping Exe Aesthetics going and I honestly can’t thank her enough 🥹🤍 so incredibly grateful for her!

And now… I’M COMING BACK! ✨

I’ll be back in clinic from October, and appointments have already started filling up which I’m SO incredibly grateful for!

I was slightly worried you’d all abandoned me… you know, seeing as I abandoned you first for six months.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our little business and for being so patient while I’ve been away. I genuinely can’t wait to see you all again, catch up and get back to doing what I love 🤍

A little snapshot of our summer 💛

Soaking up these precious moments and keeping busy with our families, including 7 children between us!!

We are also very excited that our lovely nurse prescriber, Kara, will be coming back in October!
A huge thank you to all of our wonderful, regular clients who have continued to support us and come back over the past 7 months. We’re so grateful for every single one of you and can’t wait to have Kara back working alongside me again! This also means we can now take on new clients!

For now, I’m soaking up every precious moment with baby girl, who is absolutely delightful . As much as I miss seeing all of your lovely faces, I’m just not quite ready to leave her yet.

A huge thank you to Shani for holding the fort and absolutely smashing it solo while I’m away. I couldn’t do this without her! 🤍

And to all the ladies I’ve had to turn away recently, thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I promise I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m looking forward to getting back to doing what I love when the time feels right.

Until then, you’ll find me behind a pram instead of a treatment couch… and honestly, I’m enjoying every second. 🫶🏼

Emma has created an amazing environment for both clients receiving treatments and those lucky enough to work there too!

Happy International Nurses Day 🤍

A little appreciation post for the nurses…Kara & Shani.

Nursing is something that never really leaves you. It shapes the way you think, communicate, care for people, and respond under pressure, both inside and outside of clinic walls.

Behind aesthetics is so much more than treatments. It’s years of training, clinical experience, continued learning, and a commitment to keeping our practice evidence-based, safe, ethical, and patient-centred at all times.

Our nursing background underpins every part of what we do…from consultation and prescribing, to anatomy, infection control, wound care, patient safety, managing complications and ethical considerations. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of and never take for granted.

Aesthetics is still an unregulated industry, so today also feels like an important reminder to really consider who you trust with your face and your health. Qualifications, medical knowledge, and clinical standards matter.

To every nurse we’ve worked with, learned from, or had beside us over the years, we appreciate you 🤍
