October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign highlighting the importance of early detection, regular screening, and being breast aware.
The NHS 5-Point Breast Aware Plan
The NHS encourages everyone to practice being "breast aware" by following these steps:
1. Know what's normal for your breasts.
2. Look and feel your breasts regularly.
3. Know what changes to look for (lumps, changes in size, shape, skin texture, or ni**le changes).
4. Report any changes to a GP without delay—do not wait for a routine screening invitation.
5. Attend your routine screening appointment when invited.
