MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD? | YOU WERE CREATED TO CREATE!
Something powerful hit me last year when I began reflecting upon who God says I am.
The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:27 that we are made in the image of God.
But have you ever stopped to think about what that REALLY means?
What's the very first thing we learn about God in the Bible?

**HE IS A CREATOR!** 🙌🏽
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." — Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

And that got me thinking...
If God created me in His image, and He is a Creator, then surely He placed within me the ability to CREATE too!

We aren't God, but we reflect aspects of His creative nature through the gifts and abilities He's placed within us.

And here's what I've discovered through my own healing journey...

**THE MORE I HEAL, THE MORE I CREATE!** 🌱
For years, I battled chronic illness, emotional pain, setbacks and seasons where I felt completely stuck.

But as I began intentionally healing, renewing my mind and rediscovering my identity in Christ, something beautiful happened.
My creativity began to FLOW!
Books, courses, advocacy projects, writing and opportunities to encourage others began taking shape.

The gifts were already within me. Healing simply helped me rediscover them!

And the more I created, the more my creativity MULTIPLIED!

Genesis 1:28 reminds us that God blessed humanity and commanded them to be fruitful and multiply.

**YOU ARE A CREATOR TOO!** ❤️
Don't allow your past, pain, fear or limiting beliefs to bury the gifts God placed within you.

✨ Heal your heart.
✨ Renew your mind.
✨ Rediscover your gifts.
✨ Create with purpose.
✨ Multiply your impact.

**CREATION BREEDS CREATIVITY!**

God is a Creator, and you were made in His image! (Genesis 1:27)

Sometimes, healing is what helps us rediscover the creativity, gifts and purpose that have been buried beneath pain, fear and limiting beliefs.

The more I heal, the more I create. And the more I create, the more it multiplies! 🌱

You were created with purpose. Don't bury your gifts!

❄️ **BRACE YOURSELF FOR WINTER! YOUR SEASON OF PREPARATION 🌱**

What if the season where nothing seems to be happening is actually the season where everything is being prepared?

We all know how to prepare for winter physically. We bring out our winter coats, warm boots, woollies and beautiful cashmere shawls.

But how often do we prepare ourselves for the winter seasons of LIFE?

Those seasons when opportunities seem scarce, prayers appear unanswered and everything around us looks dormant.

🌱 Here's something I've learned about personal growth.

Before a tree can stand tall, its roots must first establish themselves deep beneath the surface.

And sometimes, that's exactly what God is doing in our lives.

Strengthening our foundations.

Developing our character.

Teaching us patience.

Deepening our faith.

Healing the wounds that might otherwise hinder our growth.

**Just because nobody can see your progress doesn't mean you're not progressing!**

Your season of waiting may be preparing you for the very thing you've been praying for.

So don't rush the process.

Nourish your mind. Heal your heart. Strengthen your faith. Develop your gifts.

Because when your season changes, you'll need strong roots to sustain the beautiful things you're growing into.

🌸 **Don't despise your winter. Your spring is coming!**

🌸 **THE BEAUTIFICATION PROCESS: BEFORE THE CROWN COMES THE CLEANSING!** 👑

Have you ever wondered why God's preparation process can sometimes feel so uncomfortable?

Why healing hurts?

Why certain relationships, habits and seasons must come to an end before something new can begin?

The answer may lie in the process of beautification.

In Esther 2:12, we discover something remarkable.

Before the young women were presented to King Xerxes, they underwent an entire **TWELVE MONTHS of beauty preparations!**

Six months with oil of myrrh and six months with perfumes and other beauty treatments.

Imagine that!

An entire year dedicated to preparation!

Twelve months represent a complete calendar year, a full cycle of seasons. Biblically, the number twelve is also frequently associated with divine order, government and authority.

And so much can change in just one year!

But here's what struck me...

Before we attend an important occasion, we prepare ourselves.

We cleanse our skin, exfoliate away dead skin cells, hydrate, moisturise and apply our favourite fragrances.

Then we adorn ourselves with beautiful clothing, jewellery and accessories.

Yet the most important preparation often happens BEFORE we put on that beautiful outfit.

And isn't that a powerful picture of spiritual transformation?

🌿 **THE CLEANSING**

God begins exposing the emotional wounds, bitterness, unforgiveness and painful experiences we've accumulated along life's journey.

Sometimes cleansing hurts because our wounds are still tender.

🌿 **THE EXFOLIATION**

He begins stripping away old identities, unhealthy patterns, limiting beliefs and everything that no longer belongs in our next season.

Growth can be uncomfortable because transformation requires change.

🌿 **THE RESTORATION**

Then comes the nurturing.

God begins restoring our confidence, renewing our minds and teaching us to recognise our worth.

What was once wounded begins to heal.

What was once neglected receives attention.

What was once hidden begins to shine.

🌿 **THE ADORNMENT**

And finally, we begin stepping into the person God created us to become.

Not simply looking different...

But THINKING differently.

LOVING differently.

LIVING differently.

Because true beauty begins WITHIN! ❤️

Perhaps you're currently experiencing your own season of preparation.

Perhaps things feel uncomfortable, uncertain or painfully slow.

But remember this:

**Just because you're not wearing the crown yet doesn't mean God isn't preparing you for something beautiful.**

Don't rush your healing.

Don't despise your preparation.

And don't mistake a season of transformation for a season of rejection.

✨ Sometimes God is working most deeply in the places nobody else can see.

🌸 **BEFORE THE CROWN COMES THE CLEANSING!** 👑

Did you know that Esther underwent 12 months of beauty preparations before being presented to the king?

An entire year! (Esther 2:12)

And it got me thinking...

What if your current season of discomfort is actually a season of preparation?

Think about your skincare routine.

Before you dress for an important occasion, you CLEANSE, EXFOLIATE, HYDRATE and MOISTURISE.

Only then do you adorn yourself with beautiful clothing, jewellery and perfume.

But what happens when God begins that same process WITHIN us?

🌿 **CLEANSING:** He exposes the wounds, bitterness, rejection and unforgiveness we've accumulated through life's experiences.

🌿 **EXFOLIATION:** He begins removing unhealthy patterns, false identities and limiting beliefs that no longer belong in our next season.

🌿 **RESTORATION:** He nurtures the wounded places, renews our minds and helps us rediscover our worth.

🌿 **ADORNMENT:** We begin walking differently, thinking differently and living with renewed confidence, wisdom and purpose.

And here's the thing...

**HEALING ISN'T ALWAYS COMFORTABLE!**

Sometimes the cleansing stings.

Sometimes the stripping away hurts.

Sometimes the waiting feels endless.

But preparation takes time.

Esther's story reminds us that what happens before the presentation matters.

Perhaps God is doing His deepest work in the places nobody else can see.

Don't rush your healing just because you're eager to enter your next season.

Because REAL BEAUTY isn't simply what you put ON.

It's what begins WITHIN. ❤️

🌿 **BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, EVEN WHEN NO ONE ELSE DOES!** 💚

When they say "NO, YOU CAN'T," stand firmly on your **"YES, I CAN!"** 💪🏽

Not everyone will understand your vision. Not everyone will believe in your dreams. And not everyone will see what God has placed within your heart.

And that's okay!

I remember sharing a deeply personal vision with someone I'd only recently met. Their response wasn't what I'd expected, and although they probably didn't realise it, their words never left my mind.

But instead of dampening my spirit, they made me DIG MY HEELS IN EVEN DEEPER!

I decided to do my part, keep building and trust God with the rest. 🙏🏽

Here's what I've learnt through faith, resilience and personal growth:

**MY HOW BECAME CLEARER BECAUSE I NEVER GAVE UP ON MY WHY!**

I'm still waiting for certain things to come to pass, but looking back, I can see how much has changed because I refused to stop building.

Even through chronic illness, extreme physical pain, overwhelming hardship and mental overload, I continued working towards my purpose with whatever strength and resources I had.

Sometimes progress was painfully slow. Sometimes I needed to rest, recover and begin again.

But I kept believing!

**BY GOD'S GRACE, I WAS MADE FROM TOUGH STUFF!** 💪🏽

When the going gets tough, I dig my heels in deeper and stand FIRMER on the ground in which God has planted me!

📖 Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that the vision is for an appointed time.

✨ Keep believing.
✨ Keep learning.
✨ Keep building.
✨ Trust God's timing.

Remember, you don't need everybody's approval to pursue your God-given purpose!

Sometimes your HOW only becomes evident because you refused to abandon your WHY!
