One of our patients, who has been receiving nurse visits at home since January 2025, recently got in touch to tell us what an "extraordinary group" our team are, describing them as calm, professional and caring. We couldn't resist sharing some of their kind words about each of the nurses they have encountered:

🌟 Ovi – "Remarkably professional, organised and inspiring a high degree of confidence." Ovi has made the most visits, travelling from Bournemouth each time in good spirits, whatever the traffic (and the building works!).
🌟 Mike – "He leaves me with the sense that someone I've known for years has dropped by, and not a visiting health professional!" Always cheerful, confident and "a credit to HealthNet."
🌟 Joanne – "Her brightness, enthusiasm and humour arrive with her in spades!" Joanne always leaves the family smiling, and even inspired them to add Chicken Adobo to their regular home-cooked dishes! 🍲
🌟 Kerry – One of our newer team members, Kerry has "picked up and run with the whole cheerful, confident and professional approach." A credit to the team who inspires confidence.

Our teams have swapped their usual HealthNet colours for pink as we join thousands of schools, workplaces and communities across the UK for , one of the biggest fundraising events in the country, in support of Breast Cancer Now.

At HealthNet, our pharmacy technicians play a vital role in the care of thousands of patients across the UK. 📝 From preparing and checking prescriptions to completing quality checks before every delivery leaves our pharmacy, their expertise and attention to detail help patients receive their treatment safely and on time, in the comfort of their own homes.

We asked Lauren Elliot, one of our Accuracy Checking Technicians, what they love most about their role:
💬 "People don't always see what happens behind the scenes, but I know every prescription I check is going to someone who's relying on it. It might be a patient managing a long-term condition, or someone who's just started a new treatment and feels nervous. ⏰ Check the timing. Your delivery time slot is sent the evening before your delivery is due, so if your delivery isn't until tomorrow or later, it may simply not have arrived yet.

📱 Check your junk or spam folders. Messages can sometimes end up in your junk SMS folder or your email's spam folder, so it's worth having a quick look.

✅ Check we have your correct details. If your mobile number or email address has changed recently, please let us know so your updates reach you.

📢 Arthritis affects half a billion people worldwide, and here in the UK, over 10 million adults, young people and children live with the condition.

The Arthritis Foundation and Arthritis UK work tirelessly to raise awareness of the disease's far-reaching impact, while funding vital research in pursuit of a cure.

At HealthNet, we're proud to support rheumatology patients with clinical homecare services, helping them receive treatment in the comfort of their own homes🏡. For many people, that means less time travelling to appointments and more time focusing on the things that matter most.

So, we asked one of our patients what difference homecare makes whilst living with arthritis:

Last week, the HealthNet team came together for Macmillan Coffee Morning ☕

There were homemade bakes, plenty of coffee, and lots of good company, all for a great cause. Macmillan Cancer Support does incredible work for people affected by cancer, and we were proud to do our small part.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved - whether you baked, donated, or just popped by for a chat and a slice of cake, you helped make it a lovely morning for a wonderful charity.

This Patient Safety Day, we asked our team one simple question:

"What does patient safety mean to you?"

Their answers, in the video below, say it better than any policy document could.

Safety in homecare isn't just about protocols and checklists (though those matter too). It's in the extra five minutes spent double-checking a medication. The phone call to flag something that felt "off." The careful handover between shifts. The trust built one visit at a time, in someone's own home.
