A very different demonstration of mediumship last night… 🍂✨
I was invited to guide a spiritual community through a Samhain gathering, and I felt truly honoured to be part of such a beautiful evening.
In the clip, you’ll hear me inviting everyone to ‘Call in the Quarters’ as we cast the circle…
Stepping back into tradition is something I hold very dear. If you’ve followed me for long enough, you’ll know that working with nature, the movements of the moon and traditional Celtic beliefs have been part of my spiritual practice for many years, long before social media came along.
For me, this isn’t a seasonal gimmick or something I pick up for an occasion. It’s a way of living, a connection with the natural world and an appreciation of the wisdom and traditions passed down through generations.
I don’t usually dress for the occasion in everyday life, because historically, everyone wore what available in their day - what you wear does not affect the magic of working working with nature - it’s always the intention behind it.
Although, I have to say, bringing a little traditional attire into last night’s celebration was absolutely wonderful!
And then there was the veil…
What a beautiful centrepiece it turned out to be. Draped in delicate golden fabric and adorned with autumn leaves, it created the most enchanting entrance. As the evening unfolded, leaves began to fall from the veil, almost as though we’d invited the autumn wind indoors. They gathered gently at the bottom, creating the most magical carpet of colour for everyone passing through.
It was quite something to witness.
As every single person passed through the veil, it became more than aesthetic. It was an invitation to step into the atmosphere, leave the everyday behind for a moment and immerse themselves in the experience.
There was another important part of the evening - something which I teach to all
I work with…
I wanted everyone to understand that they don’t need a medium to find a connection with their loved ones who have passed. So I offered a gentle guided meditation, giving each person the opportunity to journey inward, explore their own connection with their ancestors and spend a little time in that personal, sacred space.
I learned a very long time ago that spirituality isn’t about handing your power to somebody else. It’s about discovering what is possible when you allow yourself the space to explore.
What a gorgeous evening of old traditions, ancestral connections, autumnal beauty and shared beliefs from times gone by. A little reminder that there is so much magic to be found when we slow down and reconnect with the things that have been part of human life for generations.
A heartfelt thank you to Matt, Donna, Carlene, Lou and everyone else who helped bring this gathering together.
And a special shout-out to everyone who went one step further and dressed for the occasion. You certainly added to the magic! 🕯️🍂✨
