The reason for the price? This batch has a best-before date of October 2026 — this month.

So, what does that mean? A best-before date is a recommendation about peak quality, including flavour and texture. A use-by date is a safety deadline.

Passing a best-before date doesn’t automatically make food unsafe. When stored correctly and kept in good condition, food can remain suitable to eat beyond it. Always follow the storage instructions and don’t eat seeds showing signs of spoilage.
