Happy Halloween 🎃 👻💀
We’ve had a blast making pumpkin soup using our own homegrown pumpkins and being creative designing and carving pumpkins to put outside our front doors. We also gave the leftovers to our farm animals so they got a treat too.

🎃💀 Getting into the Halloween spirit at Sunshine Farm! 👻🕷️

Today we had a little help in the kitchen from our very own Chef Bones! 😂💀 He helped us whip up some delicious Graveyard Crunch… although we’re not entirely sure how much help he actually was! 🤣🎃

With spooky skeletons, creepy crawlies and plenty of Halloween treats, we’re definitely getting into the Halloween mood! 🕸️🦇

Keep your eyes peeled for more spooky fun from Sunshine Farm! 👨‍🍳💀

It’s all about having fun, learning new skills and enjoying some seasonal cooking together at Sunshine Farm. 🧡

Would you dare to take a bite? 👀 👻

🌿🍎 There’s always something to do around the grounds at Sunshine Farm Resource Centre! 🍎🌿

Earlier this week, we picked the apples from our very own orchard. Our clients chopped them up, boiled them and then froze them, ready to use in future cookery sessions. We absolutely love cooking with and, of course, eating the wonderful produce we grow here at Sunshine Farm! 🍏🍎❤️

Our weekly schedules are always busy with lots of jobs around the farm. We look after the pony paddocks, regularly poop-picking to make sure Miss Ellie and Pebbles’ fields stay clean and fresh for them. 🐴 We also clean out all of the animals’ houses each week and fill their hay bags every single day. 🐑🐔🦆

And we do it in all weathers! ☀️🌧️❄️

We are incredibly proud of our clients, who never complain — come rain or shine. They take such pride in the work they do and in knowing that they are playing an important part in caring for our animals and keeping Sunshine Farm looking its best.

It’s not just about the jobs themselves — it’s about learning new skills, building confidence, taking responsibility and, most importantly, feeling a real sense of pride and achievement in everything they do. ❤️🌱

That’s what makes Sunshine Farm so special. 🥰

💚 What Our Families Say About Sunshine Farm 💚

There is no greater compliment than hearing from the families of the people we support. 🥰

We’re incredibly proud of the environment we’ve created here at Sunshine Farm, but hearing directly from our clients’ parents about the difference it makes to their loved ones means more to us than we can put into words.

So, we thought we’d share a few of the lovely things our families have said about their experiences with us. 💚

Behind every testimonial is a person we are incredibly proud to support — and a family who has trusted us to be part of their lives.

Thank you to all of our families for your continued support, trust and kind words. They really do mean the world to us. 🌻🐴💚

From Our Garden to Our Plates 🥒💚

This week we’ve been putting our very own homegrown courgettes to good use! 🌱

Our clients helped turn the courgettes we’ve grown here at Sunshine Farm into delicious vegetable puffs — and they went down an absolute treat! 😋

There’s something extra special about growing your own food, harvesting it and then turning it into something delicious to enjoy together. 🌱👩‍🍳🥒

From our garden… to our kitchen… to our tummies! 😂💚

Today has been a 35°C scorcher at Sunshine Farm ☀️🥵

The heat can be extremely tough on our animals, so our staff team and clients have been keeping a very close eye on them throughout the day — constantly changing their water, checking their drinking stations, and making sure they’re comfortable and coping with the heat. 💦🐴🐐🐑🐔🦆

Their welfare is very important to us, and on days like today it’s even more important that they have plenty of fresh, clean water and regular checks. ❤️

It’s been a hot one, but our animals are being very well looked after! 🥰☀️💦

We for one, will welcome the rain ☔️☔️☔️☔️
