It's 3.07am. The dog is snoring. My brain is running a triathlon.
October is ADHD Awareness Month, so we're sharing an honest, first-hand account of what ADHD actually feels like from the inside, with autism alongside it.

Not the child bouncing off the walls. The adult sitting quietly in a meeting with twenty thoughts running at once. The person who knows exactly what needs doing, wants to do it, and still can't make themselves start.

If you manage a team, here's the one thing to take away: when someone capable can't seem to start something simple, you might be watching a barrier, not a choice. Asking "what would make this easier to begin?" works far better than "just try harder."
