We are proper pleased to read and share this story!

Here at RPM Record Shop, we have also noticed an increase in the sales of CDs. Cassette tapes seem to to making a retro comeback too - who knew?

So along with the upserge of vinyl album sales, it appears the music purchasing public are kinda 'done' with the whole downloading thing and wanna get music authentically and tangible in their hands!

And we're SO here for it!

We've had an exciting musical week here at RPM. As well as all our usual shop tasks and duties we all took part in a musical Therapy workshop.

The lovely Rachel came in to lead the team with the workshop. We all had so much fun trying out the different instruments. On Wednesday the keyboard was a favorite and on Thursday Shelley liked the Ocean drum and Danny the box drum.

We also had a go at writing our own songs as a team. Wednesdays group wrote a song about friendship and Thursdays group wrote about a party. We had fun making a mind-map about our chosen theme and then trying to make the words rhyme, sometimes with hilarious results.

Afterwards we each took turns to chose a song that we love to play to the rest of the team and discussed how it made us feel, it was interesting to see how everybody has such different taste in music. We finished off by listening to some gentle relaxing music...so relaxing in fact that some of the team dozed off!
We want to say a massive thank you to Rachel for such an enjoyable workshop the team all absolutely loved it!.

We had great start to this week - we celebrated our Millie's 30th birthday. We had our usual cake and presents and she absolutely loved her Stitch hoodie-blanket - just look at her smile! Happy Birthday Millie from all your friends at FFF.

It's been another busy week of organising our stock. The team started by counting and checking some CDs and as always a big thank you for your generous donations. On Friday we priced up some new vinyl, ready to go out in the shop for the weekend. The team all said their heads were fuzzy after so much maths, so we made sure to do something fun afterwards!

Ffion was back at her placement at Heather House Community Cafe this week and she was sweeping and mopping the floor like a pro. Although she did say she felt like she was in a pantomime as Cinderella... Brooke and Lucy wonder if they would be the ugly step sisters!?

We rewarded 'Cinderella' and her friends with some crafting after all their hard work. We did some scratch art bats to add to our Halloween decorations...soon we will be on to our Christmas crafting...

Have a lovely weekend everyone and try to stay dry if you can!

As it is National Album Day on Saturday, we have been designing our own album covers, imagining what sort of musical artists we would be and creating an album cover and name to match. Some were colourful, some were abstract and some were just a picture of the team member! If you want to celebrate National Album Day we are open this Saturday 10am till 1pm, so why not come in and get a vinyl copy of your favourite album.

On Wednesday Fay and Jamie took on the very messy task of cleaning out the "cupboard of doom" which was full of things we didn't even know we had. Jamie then helped Lucy load it all up and take it all to Sittingbourne refuse centre. Thanks to both of them for all their hard work - we are now able to use the cupboard.

We have also had our famous 'Pizza and Karaoke' night this week - it took on a bit of Halloween theme this month, with a few spooky songs including Danny singing 'Ghostbusters' which of course everyone joined in with!

Our Lydia has been hard at work at her Co-op placement this week but she also found time for some Halloween crafts making the first of our pumpkin sun catchers for the window - now we just need the sun...
..and finally we must have been working very hard this week, as on Friday our table completely collapsed in our Learning Room! The team were fantatstic in helping Lou and Lucy find an emergency temporary table and all coped well with the stressful situation - so thank you everyone!

Ooh and if anyone has a 6ft long table going spare, you know where to find us...

Aaaahhhh! A manic plea from the team here!

Our 6ft table in our learning room has literally just collapsed and is completely broken! This table is used for all our team admin work, as well as where everyone has lunch.

So...if you are able to help us out and kindly donate a solid (not collapsible) 6ft table for us here at Fenner Frost/RPM, then we would be most grateful.
