If you sit for hours every day, spend some time in the opposite position.

A deep squat takes your hips, knees and ankles through ranges that many people barely use during a normal day.

I especially like this version because you’re not just sitting passively at the bottom. Press your elbows gently into your knees while your knees push back into your elbows. This combines mobility with active control.

Don’t worry if you can’t get this low yet. Elevate your heels on a book or plate and start from there.

Try holding it for 30 to 60 seconds while breathing normally.

This position isn’t for everyone. Stay in a comfortable, pain free range and never force your hips, knees or ankles deeper than they want to go.
