Life lately feels like a fine, delicate balance of work, and then looking forward to the play.

We get asked a lot how the expansion of the business Orgee Pools and Landscaping is going and honestly, it’s BONKERS rn. Which is brilliant but hard, all at once.

From the moment our eyes open we’re talking business in all its forms: the day, the next day, the months ahead, the plans, the team, the accounts, Sam’s college work. Then in between, we’re juggling the kids, the home and now the renovations, with the pool going in at ours too. It’s MENTAL keeping on top of it all.

But then we get moments to regroup as a family, and this is the WHY, why we are doing it all. For those two little people watching us.

So October has been BRILLIANTLY bonkers, with brief bite-sized breaks ❤️

On our branding day with my pal JOJO SMITH - BRAND & VISION EXPERT 💫, we talked about how important FLOW is to us as a value, for life, business, family and everything in between.

And this is the flow for us. Might look like a WILD river rapid to some 🤣🤣 But it’s our version of flow, and even when NOTHING feels in flow, here we are, living our best October actually in flow.

I hope October has been kind to you and you managed some down time in between the madness too ❤️

Day 1 - DAY ONE!!!!

After some initial teething problems and this pool sitting on our drive since Aug. ITS GO TIME 🕰️

Now, to manage expectations ours is going to take longer as the team are “ dropping in “ but I will take you along for every step

Step 1 - ground prep. You don’t need planning ( unless your a listed building ) as this is a movable object. Our ground is pretty easy on the prep. But regardless of your ground, there are always options. There are also above ground options too ( no planning needed for this even if listed )

World Menopause Day is about shining a light on the good, the bad and the ugly.

And for a lot of my experience, it was ugly.

But there is good, amongst the hard.
And there is lonely even though every Women will go through it.

Your world can crash down and you feel like you’re literally losing your mind. You can feel like you’re literally losing everything.

Or you might not - both experiences are valid.

But that’s exactly why it’s important to talk.

To share your experiences even the really negative ones. Because when we have information as women, we are forewarned. And therefore forearmed.

We can put on our armour and we can fight and that’s what we know how to do as women.

We know how to fight.

We know how to claw our way back.

We know how to stand strong when everything feels like it’s crumbling around us.

So shout loud and proud about your experiences. Don’t hide them away like a dirty little secret.

Menopause is a life-changing part of your life.

Own it. Honour it.

And at some point, there will be a rainbow and maybe a little pot of gold 🌈💛

Well this was a trip down memory lane ❤️

8 years later and just like the business world, we need our self build home to evolve with us…… so no, we are not selling BUT we are making some big changes and I’m taking you along with it ❤️

A wall is coming down for a totally open plan kitchen, dining and living room (wouldn’t recommend 🤣🤣), the front door is moving to the opposite end and we’re blocking up a drive. Basically turning the whole bloody thing round 🤣

But that’s cool cool 😎

Same as business. What worked 8 years ago doesn’t always fit now, and that’s just how it all works. Put a wall up, take one down, let it evolve with you.

So here we go, dust and all. Who’s coming with me? 🏡

Ps I’m not sure it’s ever not going to be a building site 🙈

My future self is my compass.

The goal isn’t the thing I chase. It’s the direction I walk in every single day.

It’s the boring daily stuff that counts. How I care for myself. How aligned my days actually are to where I say I want to go.

60% of the work happens when nothing is happening. Nobody watching, nothing moving. That’s not failure, that’s the months of input before you see any output. You don’t get the fruit off the tree the day you plant it.

So if my future self would say no, it needs to be a no from today too.
