Established in 1989 "Stoneleigh Home" is a family owned and managed concern which is registered to provide personal care to fourteen people of old age.

At Stoneleigh, we prioritise the well-being and comfort of our residents above all else. Our intimate setting ensures a sense of community and belonging, with only twelve residents forming our cherished extended family. Here, residents have the opportunity to socialise in our garden lounge or engage in meaningful conversations around our communal dining table, fostering connections and camaraderie among peers.

Thank you to all of the children who attended our annual pumpkin carving competition yesterday. Albeit a smaller turnout than usual it was still a lovely afternoon and competition was fierce. There was some great designs and clearly the children took it seriously judging by the concentration on their faces. After the residents had judged the pumpkins Evie took first prize for the second year running with Archie and his Sister Ava completing the top 3. Archie also won the fancy dress prize as he was the only one dressed up…..as a banana?😆
A thank you to Jo who comes every year and makes Halloween lanterns with the kids, it was really appreciated.
As usual we followed up with burger, hot dogs and party bags. The residents really enjoyed the afternoon.

A big thank you to all the children and their families at Melbourne Primary School for donating the produce from their harvest festival. We’re really grateful for this and proud to have always enjoyed a close relationship with the school over the 38 years Stoneleigh has been supporting our local community.

A warm Stoneleigh welcome was given to our feathered friends from Owl Adventures today. Robyn arrived with Scout (Ural owl) Sky (Barn owl) Arthur (Kestrel) and Rowland (Harris Hawk). Everyone engaged with the birds holding and feeding them whilst Robyn answered questions on the raptors. The birds flew freely around the room and in landed safely on chairs and walking frames. Only one near miss when Arthur misjudged his landing point and collided with a window, but like a true professional shook himself off and started his routine again.
We love these afternoons with the birds and look forward to their next visit 🦉🦉

Hopefully not the last bbq of the year but had to seize the opportunity and turf everyone outside. The sun shone and as the breeze dropped everybody enjoyed the autumn heat. Rhubarb Gin and Pimms only improved the experience. Happy Birthday Pamela.🥃🍸🥂🍾

Enjoyied a trip to Elvington Air Museum with Peter this afternoon. Peter found it really interesting and was extremely knowledgable about the aircraft.
Finished off with a cup of tea and cake in the NAAFI and then back to base.

It was a very happy day for this wonderful lady yesterday. Jeannie enjoyed spending her 98th birthday with family in the summer house, with a picnic and of course a lovely cake made by Jill.
