Every good thing in life comes to an end, and every ending makes way for a new beginning. 🙏

With a heavy heart yet deep gratitude, I am announcing the closure of The Yogabarre studio here in Kilcoole, Greystones.

Taking over this beautiful space Caroline @ The Yoga Barre from the wonderful Caroline in January 2025 has been one of the greatest honours of my life. Caroline poured her heart into building this sanctuary, and stepping into her shoes to continue that legacy has been an unforgettable journey.

Together, we didn’t just practice yoga we built a community that welcomed every stage of life. Looking back, my heart is so full of the memories we created.
Welcoming new life through Pregnancy Yoga
Breaking barriers by hosting Ireland’s first Men-Only Yoga Asana class or Supporting our seniors with Chair Yoga for the Elderly.

Keeping wellness accessible with Yoga for All and donation-based classes supporting vital charities
Yoga is a noble profession meant for everyone. However, as a yoga practitioner, instructor, and therapist, navigating today’s economy, rising inflation, and bi-annual commercial rent increases has made running a rented studio space unsustainable while keeping classes truly affordable. When a small local business closes, the ripple is felt across the whole community especially as we say goodbye to what may be the only dedicated wellness studio in Kilcoole, Greystones.

To every single client who unrolled their mat with us, and to the phenomenal teachers who shared their wisdom and energy in this space: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made The Yogabarre what it was.

This is only goodbye to the building, not the practice. 🧘‍♀️💛
I will continue teaching online, and I am excited to share that I will be announcing a brand-new class schedule in a new venue starting January 2027! Stay tuned to this page for updates.

With love, light, and endless gratitude,
Parag

Put down the razor and roll out the mat! 🧔‍♂️🧘‍♂️

This and , we’re raising awareness for Prostate Cancer and men’s health. Let the facial hair grow to spark the conversation—and let’s talk about how movement supports the body from the inside out.

Whether you’re focusing on prevention, going through treatment, or in recovery, studies show that a regular yoga practice offers huge benefits for prostate health

🔹 Strengthens the Pelvic Floor: Poses like Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) engage and tone the deep core and pelvic floor muscles, which is vital for urinary control and post-treatment recovery.
🔹 Boosts Circulation & Releases Tension: Gentle hip openers like Butterfly/Cobbler’s Pose (Baddha Konasana) increase blood flow to the pelvic region and unlock tight hips and lower backs.
🔹 Reduces Stress & Fatigue: Mindful breathing shifts the nervous system out of “fight-or-flight,” lowering cortisol (stress hormones), easing anxiety, and reducing fatigue.

🩺 Your November Reminder: Early detection saves lives. If you are a man over 50 (or over 45 with a family history), have a quick chat with your doctor about a simple PSA check.

Tag a brother, father, partner, or friend below to remind them to take care of their health this month, and save this post for your next flow! 💙

You wouldn’t skip brushing your teeth or eating your meals just because the mornings are dark and cold. Why treat your mental and physical well-being any differently?

As the clocks change and winter settles in, our routines get tested. Between the school run, college lectures, and the morning work rush, giving yourself that first hour of the day is the ultimate act of self-respect. After all, that 1 hour on the mat is what carries you through the remaining 23 hours off the mat.

Why take it online this winter?

Zero commute: Skip the frost and dark roads—just roll out of bed and onto your mat.

Non-negotiable rhythm: Anchor your breath and nervous system before the daily chaos begins.

Consistency over comfort: Build the discipline (Niyama) that keeps your energy steady all winter long.
I am looking to open an Early Morning Online Yoga batch designed to fit right before your day kicks off—whether you’re heading to the office, campus, or the school gates.

Would you be interested in joining the early morning online classes?

Drop a “YES” in the comments (and let me know your ideal start time—6:45 AM or 7:15 AM!) Mon -Friday or DM me to get on the list.

Ever catch yourself frozen and not breathing while reading an email or scrolling?

That’s known as Email Apnea—and holding your breath unconsciously spikes fatigue, disrupts focus, and deprives your tissues of oxygen.

But doing it intentionally through ancient yogic Kumbhak does the exact opposite:

🧠 Spurs Neurogenesis: Controlled breath-holding prompts your brain to dilate vessels and stimulate new cell formation.
🌊 Lymphatic Flush: Changing intra-thoracic pressure acts like a vacuum pump, moving lymph and draining deep cellular toxins.

Quick Start:
Practice 10 seconds of conscious retention (Antar Kumbhak on inhale or Bahya Kumbhak on exhale) gradually and under proper yogic guidance. Any be ok be with heart problems, High Blood Pressure , or Kidney issues please consult your DR (GP) or a Yoga Therapist before you start the retention practice.

Is your Swadhisthana (Sacral Chakra) in harmony?

Located behind the p***c bone, just above the reproductive organs, the Swadhisthana Chakra is our center of fluid energy, passion, creativity, and flow. Governed by the element of Water, it directly influences how we experience vitality, pleasure, and connection to life.

Here is how imbalances can manifest:
🔻 Underactive Sacral Chakra:
Feelings of boredom, dullness, or emotional low
Physical dryness (skin, colon)
Low libido & decreased thirst

🔺 Overactive Sacral Chakra:
Overindulgence and obsessive passions
Emotional overwhelm or excessive attachments

⚖️ When Balanced:
Healthy harmony between your creative drive and sexual energy

Life feels vibrant, dynamic, and purposeful
Clear focus to create wealth, abundance, and inspired work. Understanding your energetic anatomy is the first step toward true physical and mental alignment.

Work 1-on-1 with me:
My personalized Yoga Therapy 1:1 slots open every Friday. Book your appointment via the link in bio or send a DM to begin your journey.

Remember: Every day is a Sadhana day. Every day is a Yoga day. 🙏

You cannot build a sturdy house on an unstable foundation.

In yogic tradition, Muladhara the Root Chakra sits at the base of the spine and the pelvic floor. It represents your fundamental right to exist, feel safe, and be supported by the ground beneath you.

When life moves fast, we spend most of our energy caught in our heads: overthinking, rushing from one demand to the next, living in an unspoken state of fight-or-flight.

When your root is grounded
The nervous system settles out of overdrive.
Trust replaces chronic anxiety.
You feel anchored, regardless of outer turbulence.

FASTING ISN’T DEPRIVATION-IT’S THERAPY!

In Yoga and Ayurveda, Navaratri fasting is called Upavas, which literally means “to dwell close to the Self.” It is one of the most powerful natural therapies to reset your entire being.

Why is it so powerful?
YE THE AYURVEDIC RESET (The Body): During seasonal shifts (Ritu Sandhi), our digestive fire (Agni) naturally weakens, making us prone to fatigue and sickness. Fasting or eating light, Satvic foods allows the digestive system to rest, encouraging the body to burn off Ama (metabolic toxins) and rebuild your immunity.

🧘‍♂️THE YOGIC RESET (The Mind): Digestion consumes a massive amount of your vital energy (Prana). By lightening your diet, that energy is redirected inward. Heavy, restless mind patterns (Tamas and Rajas) dissolve, leaving you in a state of calm clarity (Sattva)-the perfect foundation for meditation and movement.

3 Ways to Make Your Upavas Therapeutic:
1. Lighten, don’t starve: Use easily digestible alternatives like buckwheat (kuttu), amaranth, fruits, and rock salt (sendha namak) to keep your energy steady.
2. Support your Prana: Gentle yoga twists and forward folds help stimulate digestion and clear stagnation.
3. Hydrate wisely: Sip warm water, ginger/coriander water, or herbal infusions to help flush out toxins.
Are you fasting this Navaratri? Let me know in the comments how you like to keep your practice Sattvic!

Your hands hold the blueprint to your subtle energy.
In yogic practice, mudras are intentional gestures used to direct subtle energy, harmonizing both the mind and physical body.

Every finger is connected to one of the Pancha Tatvas (five elements)

Thumb balances Agni (Fire)
Index finger regulates Vayu (Air)
Middle finger regulates Akash (Space / Ether)
Ring finger regulates Prithvi (Earth)
Little finger regulates Jala (Water)

When we bring the fingers together in specific mudras, we balance these elemental currents helping to cultivate mental clarity, calm the nervous system, and restore inner balance.

Do you have a go-to mudra in your daily practice? Tell me in the comments. Join my new term link to book class in my Bio🙏

What does Pranayama actually mean?

Originating from Sanskrit, Prāṇa translates to our vital “life force energy,” while Yāma means “control or modification.” The true purpose of pranayama isn’t just breathing—it’s redirecting the subtle flow of energy within your entire being.

In yogic tradition, every pranayama technique is woven together through three foundational actions:
🔹 Pūraka (Inhalation)
🔹 Recaka (Exhalation)
🔹 Kumbhaka (Breath retention)

As Patanjali reminds us in Yoga Sutra 2.46 (Sthira sukham asanam), cultivating a steady, comfortable posture through asana practice creates the ideal vessel for this inner work.

Ready to build physical stability and master the breath?
New term begins this October. Secure your mat—link in bio to book your spot!
