From paediatric urology and robotic surgery to research, medical education and my TEDx journey, every experience has reinforced one belief: innovation matters most when it makes a difference to human lives.

Being part of a Guinness World Record-setting educational initiative has been another memorable chapter.

Behind every recognition are countless patients, families, mentors, colleagues and students who make the journey meaningful.

Here’s to pushing boundaries, sharing knowledge and keeping children at the heart of everything we do.

The future of surgery is technological. Its purpose must remain human.

From the operating room to research, from medical education to robotic innovation, my journey has always revolved around one purpose: making healthcare better for children.

I believe innovation is meaningful only when it improves a patient’s life. And no technological advancement should ever make us forget the human being behind the diagnosis.

Grateful for the people, experiences and opportunities that have shaped this journey.

The recognition is wonderful. The responsibility it brings is even greater.

A special moment in my professional journey!

I am delighted to share that Outlook India has featured me among its 50 Visionaries Below 50 – Driving Innovation, Leadership & Impact (2026).

It is deeply encouraging to see my work in paediatric surgery, paediatric urology, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, medical research and education receive this recognition.

Medicine has given me the privilege of working with children and their families, teaching young doctors, pursuing research and exploring technologies that can make surgery safer and better.

Every child we treat reminds us why this work matters. Every student we teach carries that responsibility forward.

I am thankful to my mentors, colleagues, institutions, patients and their families, and everyone who has supported me along the way.

For me, this is not merely about a title or a feature. It is a reminder that there is still so much more to learn, build and contribute.

The greatest achievement in medicine will always be the difference we make in someone’s life.

Beyond the operating room. Beyond the title. Always for the child.

Honoured to be featured in The Hall of Excellence — Edition 2, September 2026, in a profile titled “The Surgeon Who Chose to Build Beyond the Operating Room.”

Surgery is only one part of what we do.

There is research that challenges us to think differently. Teaching that shapes the next generation. Technology that opens new possibilities. Writing that carries knowledge beyond hospital walls.

And, at the centre of it all, there is a child and a family trusting us to make a difference.

This feature is a moment of gratitude—but also a reminder that professional growth carries a responsibility to keep improving.

To my mentors, colleagues, students, patients and their families: thank you for being part of the journey.

The work continues. The learning never stops.

Success teaches us how to celebrate. Failure teaches us who we are.

In surgery, resilience is not about pretending that difficult moments do not affect us. It is about accepting responsibility, learning honestly and finding the courage to move forward.

Sometimes, solving a case in the Paediatric OPD requires a very specific set of high-level negotiation tactics. Forget flowcharts and KPIs—we’re talking bribes of candy, shiny stickers, and plush toy diplomacy just to get through a simple examination! 🍭🚀🩺
