🌿 Meet our Rongoā Team | Hone Moetara & Matua Rob Taylor 🌿
Our staff profile series continues, and this time we’re heading up to Te Ōturu Oranga, where our Rongoā team carry out their mahi amongst the beautiful taiao. 🌱💚
Meet Hone Moetara and Matua Rob Taylor, two of our kaimahi who share a passion for mātauranga Māori, te taiao and supporting the hauora of our whānau.
🌿 Hone Moetara facilitates our Ngā Wai Ora Māra Wānanga and Rongoā Māori Practitioner Training and Development kaupapa. Through hands-on learning, whakawhanaungatanga and time spent on the whenua, Hone supports whānau to reconnect with mātauranga Māori, grow their confidence and strengthen their connection to te taiao.
🌱 Matua Rob Taylor is our Kairongoā, specialising in Rongoā rākau. With a heart for passing on mātauranga Māori, Rob brings knowledge, compassion and aroha to his mahi, supporting the healing of others while helping keep these taonga tuku iho alive for the generations to come.
For both of these kaimahi, their mahi is about more than the knowledge they share — it’s about connection, learning, healing and creating spaces where whānau can grow.
✨ And we’re not finished yet! We still have more of our Rongoā team to introduce, so keep an eye out as we continue sharing the beautiful people and mahi happening up at Te Ōturu Oranga.
Next time you’re up this way, take a moment to appreciate the whenua and taiao that surround this special space. 🌿
He taonga tuku iho, he oranga mō ngā whakatipuranga. 💚
