Kelly M. Ballard / Medium & Energy Healer Fourth-generation Intuitive Medium, Energy Healer, Reiki Master & Minister. 25+ years of working with Spirit. Manifesting Maven, LOA lover, professional hugger.

Founder of Reflective Harmony, Albany NY. I was eight years old the first time I consciously remember a Spirit finding me. After that, it simply became my normal -- seeing what other people didn't, knowing things before they happened, and spending a good portion of my childhood trying to make sense of both. I was lucky. My Grandma Ceal was my first mentor and teacher, and she didn't tell me I had an overactive imagination. She told me what it was. I'm a fourth-generation Medium, Intuitive, Healer, and Teacher, and I've been walking alongside Spirit for more than 25 years now. Between my Guides, the Infinite Creator, a long line of extraordinary living mentors and teachers, and the friends who've held me up along the way, I still feel like I've only just started down the path Spirit laid out in front of me. Every session is an adventure. I become the conduit between the Spirit world and the living, and I bring the whole of it -- compassion, healing, humor, and the directness and honesty Spirit is known for. Spirit doesn't do vague. Neither do I. The Healing Work

Alongside mediumship, I offer a range of healing modalities: Reiki, Shamanic Energy Work, Sound Healing, Tapping, Kirlian Photography, and Energy Work. No two sessions look alike, because no two clients do. Whatever tools I'm guided toward, we talk it through together and build a session that meets you where you actually are. I also have extensive training in the Law of Attraction and Manifesting, and I coach clients on using their heart space as a sacred compass -- turning those principles into a daily practice instead of a poster on the wall. This is the work of increasing your capacity to thrive, and it's some of my favorite work there is. Ministry, Grief, and the Work at the Threshold

I'm an Ordained Spiritualist Minister, and stepping into that role reshaped my relationship with Spirit in ways I'm still unpacking. As a Minister who wears a very Mediumship-shaped hat, I create ceremony for funerals, celebrations of life, memorials, and committal services. I also do a tremendous amount of work with clients and their families during the active dying process. This is the work I hold most closely. It takes the fear out of death and dying. It brings families back into the same room and helps them hold each other. And it makes space for what I know to be true -- that the relationship doesn't end when the body does. Connection continues. Being trusted with those hours is one of the great honors of my life. Teaching

Teacher might be my favorite hat of all. I'm a Usui Reiki Master and Teacher and I teach all four levels of Reiki. I teach Mediumship and Intuitive Development classes, webinars on metaphysical and spiritual topics, and I work extensively with clients on the Law of Attraction and Manifesting. I don't teach from a pedestal. Everything I know, someone taught me first -- and most of what I know arrived because I was willing to be bad at it in front of someone kind. That's the room I try to create. Reflective Harmony

I'm the founder and owner of Reflective Harmony in Albany, NY -- an energetic ecosystem and wellness center where spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being all live under one roof. It's home to mediumship and energy healing, sacred sound and drumming circles, art therapy and creative workshops, yoga, breathwork, somatic practices, holistic and nutritional wellness, and a circle of brilliant Collaborators who make the whole thing hum. I built it because healing shouldn't require you to drive to six different buildings and explain yourself six different times. Whole-person wellness isn't a philosophy here. It's the heartbeat. Where This Work Has Taken Me

For over 15 years I've been a recurring guest across talk radio, including "Natural Instincts" with the late Dr. Carol Tunney on WBTN 1370 AM out of Bennington, Vermont, and weekly segments on "Mulrooney in the Morning" on 104.9 FM in Albany. I hosted "The Kelly Ballard Show: Insight and Inspiration from the Great Beyond" on Transformation Talk Radio, and recorded with the BBM Global Network. I've been brought in for intuitive and mediumistic consultations, fundraisers, and speaking engagements by businesses large and small across the country, community groups and organizations, university classes, therapists and social workers, local and state police departments, and real estate agents and new homebuyers. I've also recorded two guided meditation albums with the wonderfully talented recording artist and composer Peter Koniuto -- "Beginnings" and "Courage" -- both still available. And When I'm Not Working

I'm a wife to a fantastic Maine-ah, and Momma to two wonderful kiddos and two dramatically over-the-top cats. You'll usually find me at a volleyball match, in the garden losing a long war against the weeds, or near the water -- my happy place. I love to travel. And nothing sets the tone for a good day like a cup of creamer with a splash of coffee in it. These souls and these small things light me up, fill me with joy, and keep me honest about showing up as who I actually am. Every time I sit down with Spirit, I learn something. I'm honored to do this work, and I wholeheartedly believe there's no ceiling on how far any of us can grow. If something in here landed -- if Spirit has been nudging you, if you're grieving and tired of platitudes, or if your intuition has been talking and you're finally ready to listen -- I'd love to sit with you. Come as you are. 🤍

I spent years waiting to feel ready.

Ready to say out loud what I actually did for a living. Ready to take up space in a room. Ready to stop quietly waiting for somebody with more authority than me to confirm that I was allowed.

Here's what I eventually worked out, and I wish somebody had told me sooner.

Ready is not a feeling you arrive at. You don't cross a threshold one morning and find it's been installed overnight. Ready shows up about ten minutes after you begin, and not one second before, and it has been doing this to people since the beginning of time.

So if you're waiting on the feeling -- I'd stop. It's not coming to collect you. It's waiting at the other end for you to start walking.

I know what it's like to want someone else to say you're allowed. To feel well. To take up room. To choose yourself without building a case for it first.

Nobody's coming with that permission slip. And the strange, freeing thing is that you never needed one.

You don't have to know it all to begin.

Just take the next soul-led step and trust the version of you who already knows how this goes.

I was eight the first time Spirit found me -- and I definitely wasn't looking. (I was looking for snacks.)

My Grandma Ceal was the first person to notice the flicker in me. And instead of shushing it, she leaned in. She asked questions. She listened. She helped me trust what I was sensing at an age when most kids are told to stop making things up.

I think about that a lot. How different my life would be if she'd waved it away. How many of us had our own little flicker dimmed -- by a teacher, a parent, a church, a world that didn't know what to do with it.

What started as whispers has become twenty-five-plus years of channeling, healing, and helping people remember what I learned so young: Spirit is always here. Always loving. Always guiding. The Universe is never quiet. We just forget how to listen.

Every time I sit with someone now, I watch that same spark light back up in them. It's my favorite thing in the world. Truly.

So tell me -- who was your Grandma Ceal? The person who saw your light first? Drop their name below. I'd love to honor them with you.

P.S. On November 18 and 19, I'm hosting Soul Spark -- a free two-day masterclass where we remember that light together, with brand-new channeled material I've never shared before.

Comment SPARK and I'll send you the link. ✨

Twenty-five years. Same five questions. Same order. Usually before I've finished my first snag of charcuterie.

I could set a timer.

The first four are comedy. Number three in particular -- I would love to know who decided that's an acceptable third question to ask a stranger at a party. Not "what do you do," not "how do you know the host." Straight to how do I die. Friend. We just met. Let me taste this hunk of brie first.

But number five is the one I actually came here to talk about.

Because here's how it always goes. Someone announces they don't believe in any of this -- no offense -- and I say none taken, and then they get very quiet. And approximately ninety seconds later, that same person is telling me about their grandmother. The one who showed up the week she died. The dream that wasn't a dream. The thing they've never said out loud to a single living person, up to and including the one they're married to.

Every time. In a kitchen. Next to the snacks (cause where else should someone be!).

Took me years to figure out what was happening there, so let me save you the trouble: people aren't skeptical. People are careful. Those look exactly the same from the outside and they are absolutely not the same thing.

Almost everybody has a story. They're just waiting to find out the room is safe.

So -- go ahead. Tell me yours. This is a safe kitchen and there's plenty of charcuterie. 😉

✨Weekly Energy Update✨

10/25/2026

No matter what part of the path we're walking, Spirit keeps whispering the same two words at me: openness and flow.

Think about a river. It doesn't force its way through anything. It meets the rock and it goes around, and it still arrives exactly where it was always going. It doesn't lose. It just stops arguing.

So here's the question I'd sit with this week.
Where are you gripping?

Maybe it's the to-do list that's been the same list since August. Maybe it's a relationship pattern you can see with total clarity and keep walking into anyway. Maybe it's the self-doubt that's gotten so familiar it feels like a personality trait.

Or maybe -- and this is the one, nine times out of ten -- it's the timeline. The insistence that it should have happened by now.

Look outside. Everything out there is releasing right now, and none of it is asking permission. The trees aren't negotiating over which leaves they get to keep. They're just setting it down, because holding on through winter would cost more than letting go.

You don't have to solve anything today. Just loosen the grip a finger at a time and see what drifts back in when there's room for it.

What are you ready to set down?

Fourth generation, which sounds very impressive until you understand what it actually means: I got lucky with who I had for a Grandmother and that I could tell her about it.

That's the whole thing. When I said something strange as a kid, my Gram never panicked. She smiled basically said "yeah, I know, that runs in our family" and then went back to watching her afternoon story on TV. No ceremony. No big moment. Just a Tuesday afternoon with Marlena, John, & Stephano. (IYKYK!)

Most people don't get that version. Most people are eight years old, they say one honest thing at dinner, they watch the table go quiet -- and then they spend the next thirty years building an entire personality around not mentioning it. By the time they're sitting in front of me they open with "this is going to sound crazy" before they've said a single word.

It's not going to sound crazy. It has never once sounded crazy.

And people misread the four-generations thing as some rare inherited gift, so let me clear that up. I don't think the ability is the rare part. I've sat with a LOT of people and most of them have some version of it, whether they call it that or not.

What's rare is having a Gram who doesn't flinch and wants to show you exactly how to do it.

So consider this yours.

If you were that kid at the dinner table, tell me. I'd love to know I'm not the only one who remembers the silence. 🖤

You are always allowed to return to yourself. To reset. To re-choose. To realign.

And it does not have to be dramatic to be powerful.

I think a lot of people are waiting for alignment to arrive as a big cinematic turning point -- quit the job, sell the house, have a revelation on a retreat somewhere. And sometimes it does look like that. Mostly it doesn't.
Mostly it looks like one honest breath before you answer.

One loving boundary that costs you a little something to hold.

One quiet yes to a thing that brings you joy for absolutely no productive reason whatsoever.

That's it. That's the practice. It's unglamorous and repetitive and nobody's going to make a documentary about it.

But here's what I've watched for twenty-five years: every single time somebody does one of those small true things, the Universe rearranges a little in their favor. Not because they performed the ritual correctly. Because they told the truth, and truth moves things.

Keep listening in. Keep aligning out.

You're doing it, and it matters more than you think. 🖤

My whole industry is about to say the same sentence for thirty-one days straight, and I have never once said it.

It's the veil thing. And I understand the appeal -- it's moody, it's seasonal, it looks incredible over a photo of some fog. But underneath it there's a message I can't sign off on: that there's a right time to reach for your people. That access opens and closes like a pumpkin patch.

Somebody loses their person in April, reads that, and quietly files away the idea that they're six months early.

No.

Twenty-five years of doing this and I can tell you where it actually happens. In the car. In the shower, which is honestly Spirit's favorite venue and I don't know why. At a red light on a Tuesday in March. In the cereal aisle when the wrong song comes on and takes you out at the knees in front of the Cheerios.

Now, to be clear -- do I love Halloween? My house is a whole production. Costumes for every human present, a group theme, and an annual family conflict about the group theme in which I am routinely outvoted. I will die on that hill in whatever costume I was assigned.

But I'm not going to sell you a window for a door that was never closed.

It's open. Go ahead. 🖤

Rest isn't fixing it, and you're starting to take that personally.

I see you. You went to bed at 8:30 on purpose, drank the water, took the bath, and still woke up feeling like you spent the night carrying furniture up the stairs.

That isn't a sleep problem, friend. That's a nervous system that hasn't been given permission to set anything down. Another self-care tip on your phone isn't going to give it that permission. (I say this lovingly, as a woman whose coffee is mostly creamer and whose "quick break" is mostly answering emails.)

The Sounding is where I put that permission in the room for you. You lie down, and I take it from there. Bowls, drums, rattles, rainsticks, the whole beautiful orchestra, while Spirit does what Spirit does best and your body finally remembers it's allowed to stop bracing.

November brings its own medicine. It's the month of letting the leaves drop without apologizing for the bare branches. Whatever you've been holding since summer, this is the place to lay it down. You'll walk back out steadier, lighter, and a lot more like yourself.

Tuesday, November 17, 6:00-7:30pm at Reflective Harmony in Albany. $60 per person. Seats are intentionally limited, preregistration is required, and there are no walk-ins, because a ceremony this tender deserves a room that's ready for you before you arrive.

Grab your spot at reflectiveharmony.com. Come as you are. 🤍

Think back to a moment recently where you caught yourself thinking huh, I don't react to this the way I used to.

That's it. That's the thing.

That's awakening, and it almost never looks the way people expect. It's not a white-light moment on a mountaintop. It's a text that would have wrecked your entire day in February, and this time you read it, put the phone down, and went to make dinner.

It's saying no out loud, in your own voice, instead of saying yes and then being quietly furious about it for a week.

It's noticing you're upset and being kind about it instead of adding a second layer of upset on top for being upset in the first place.

That's your soul integrating something into the ordinary day, and the ordinary day is the only place any of this actually counts. All the work you've done -- including the small unglamorous stuff nobody clapped for -- is what moved you here.

You're not who you were. Thank goodness for that.

So tell me. One thing that's changed in you this year. Big or small, I want to hear all of them.
