Part 3: Boston & Salem, MA (Stayed 3 days - two days in Boston and one in Salem! We got lots of these recommendations from friends and family - including my husband who loves Boston!
Our Itinerary 👇🏼
*Drove early morning 1.5hr drive to Boston. Spent the first day walking around town with my brother and sister-in-law who happened to be there at the same time. Went to Quincy Market to look at the local vendors and shops, then snuck out of the rain to grab some lunch at Vinoteco di Monica. Then after we walked to Modern Pastry (recommended by my sil) and had some incredible pastries, my favorite being their homemade hostess cupcake 🤤 Then walked Charles street to do some shopping and visited Beacon Hill Bookstore and cafe! We were supposed to do the freedom trail tour and go to a Red Sox vs. Cubs game but it was canceled because of the storm. Instead, we snuck out of the rain to enjoy the pastries and then later ordered takeout from PF Changs because the weather was SO CRAZY! Who’s experienced a Nor’easter storm before!?
*Salem was the next day - we drove in early and downloaded the destsalem app where it showed parking and sightseeing for easy access to help you to know where to park, what to do, and events that were happening local to Salem. Tickets for the Salem Witch House tour drop at 8am the morning of, so we booked those right away to get a slot because they sell out fast. We went straight to the witch house, walked downtown and explored local shops, went on the Seven Gables House tour (booked in advance), then did the hour trolley tour which gave salems history and a drive around town. SO fun, entertaining, informative, the perfect thing for families who want to get off their feet or out of the rain. They were supposed to have a Halloween outdoor market while we were there but was canceled because of the storm as well. So we finished the day with some pasta in the Italian district in Boston and picked up gelato on our way to our car to go home.
