🌄If there's a trail to explore, Danielle is always up for a hike! Hiking is one of her favorite ways to enjoy Alaska, and when she's not working, you'll often find her out on the trails or planning her next trip. Her love of travel has taken her well beyond the last frontier, too.
One place Danielle got to call home for a little while? 🇳🇿New Zealand! She spent a semester there during college, pretty great territory for someone who loves both hiking and exploring new places.
As our licensed nutritionist, Danielle helps patients navigate an important part of their health and wellness. Whether she's supporting patients or heading out on her next adventure, Danielle brings a thoughtful, positive approach to the journey.💚

🌄A beautiful Alaska trail and a St. Bernard named Sepp make a pretty great combination for Nurse Practitioner and Palliative Care Director, Rachel. She was drawn to Alaska by its beauty and loves getting outside to enjoy what she considers the most beautiful place in the country. Hiking with Sepp is a favorite, along with disc golf and getting out for a bike ride.
When it's time to slow things down, Rachel is just as happy with a good book or baking something delicious at home.
And here's something you probably wouldn't guess: Rachel knows how to operate heavy equipment! After recently learning about Dr. Green's deep appreciation for operating construction machinery, we're starting to think this team has a whole set of skills we knew nothing about.
Whether she's out exploring with Sepp, trying a new recipe, or caring for patients, Rachel brings a warm, down-to-earth spirit to everything she does.💚

🩷 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Team AROC bundled up to walk alongside our community of survivors, friends, and family at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. We are honored to help raise awareness of breast cancer screening, early detection, and support throughout treatment.

10/01/2026

💗You’ll see plenty of pink this month, but there’s one message we hope you’ll remember: Don’t wait for a lump. Breast cancer doesn’t always announce itself with something you can see or feel. Please get screened. And if you ever find yourself in need of breast cancer treatment, know that our team will be here to care for you every step of the way.

For Shirlie, there's just something about being near the ocean that feels like home. 🌊Growing up in Kodiak meant having mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, so being by the water still brings that feeling of home. Chasing a beautiful Alaska sunset, preferably with an ocean view, is pretty hard to beat.
Outside of supporting patients and families through cancer care, free time is often spent with family and friends, settling in with a good book, or building Legos.
And one thing you might not expect? Horror movies are a definite no!
🌄From quiet moments by the ocean to time spent with the people who matter most, it's easy to see the warmth and connection that mean so much to Shirlie.

😎Kelly is happiest when she's outside, and she certainly has plenty of ways to enjoy it! Hiking, biking, camping, backpacking and skiing are all favorites, along with yoga and a good music festival when the opportunity comes along.
🌄But here's something you probably wouldn't guess: Kelly has traveled to 20 countries, and one of those adventures took her to 17,575 feet on Gokyo Peak in Nepal. She was just two days away from reaching Everest Base Camp when severe altitude illness abruptly changed her plans, requiring a helicopter evacuation to Kathmandu and four days in the hospital.
💚Thankfully, Kelly recovered and came home with quite the story to tell!
From Alaska's trails to adventures around the world, Kelly clearly isn't afraid to explore. We're happy to have her bring that same adventurous spirit, warmth and positive energy to her work as a massage therapist on our Integrative Care team, and to the patients she cares for every day.
