💜 Your progress is bigger than the number on the scale.
This graph shows a meaningful change in one patient’s journey while working consistently with me at InnerGlow Wellness Clinic:
✨ Estimated body fat mass: 82.5 → 64.8 pounds
✨ 17.7 pounds less fat mass over approximately six months
✨ About a 21% reduction from the starting fat mass
That’s progress worth celebrating! 👏
The scale measures your total weight. It cannot tell you how much is fat, muscle, or water. When you lose fat while building muscle, your body composition can improve even when your weight changes slowly.
And the research supports looking beyond pounds lost. A 2025 systematic review of 25 randomized trials found that adding resistance exercise to dietary weight loss helped preserve fat-free mass, increase fat loss, and improve strength—even without significantly greater weight loss on the scale.
That’s why our goal is to reduce excess body fat while preserving—and, when possible, building—muscle.
At InnerGlow, we look at the bigger picture:
💪 Strength and physical function
📏 Waist measurements and body-composition trends
🩺 Blood pressure and relevant lab results
🌱 Sustainable habits and how you feel
Consistent follow-up gives us opportunities to celebrate progress, address challenges, and adjust your plan. You don’t need perfection—you need a realistic approach you can keep returning to.
Your weight is one piece of information. It is not your entire success story.
