Forcing yourself to forgive someone before you are ready does not accelerate your healing process, it actually stunts it, and keeps you stuck repeating the same lesson.

I am getting so many dm’s from men, and I find it so interesting that the ones coming forward with actual genuine apologies, were not the ones that had done anything that would be considered “abuse”. Maybe they broke my heart once upon a time, or had a falling out with me , but nothing that was intentionally harmful or traumatic.

However, the ones in my DMs who DID cause actual harm, did not reach out with an apology , or even acknowledge what they did. Instead, they reached out to assure me that “they always had good intentions” with me, or some other vague way of saying “hey, we’re all good right? Please don’t make a video about me” 🙃

Listen guys, I don’t personally NEED anyone to own up or admit to what they did in order for me to heal, I’ve done my part and said what I needed to say. I’m good.

But I do know that if you can’t admit when you’ve done something wrong, you can never change. It’s impossible. And I just wonder if any man is strong enough and brave enough to own up to their mistakes or bad choices, and say “hey, I want to change. I need help. I want to be safer for women in the future”

Call me crazy, call me radical, idc 🤷‍♀️
But I see women sharing their most shameful experiences fearlessly on the internet all the time, and I’m just wondering if any man is bold enough—or cares enough— to do the same…

I started making these videos one by one and realized, it would take me the rest of my life film every detail of the abuse I’ve experienced from men. That’s sad. And it’s even sadder that the same is true for the majority of women I meet. I’m sick of carrying the blame as though somehow it’s my fault. Men should have to carry some of the weight of the harm they caused. Point, blank, period.

Codependcy and addiction goes hand in hand . People can be just as hard to quit as drugs. Abusers keep you on an emotional roller coaster to keep you hooked.

Ironically I began doing a lot of self worth work during my last relationship , before realizing that I was dealing with a narcissist, and I truly believe it’s only reason I was able to finally able sever ties completely.

I fear I would’ve stayed stuck trying to prove I was good enough forever, if not to him, then to the next man, had I not been empowered by friends and myself to realize that I was already more than enough as is .💗

This is a perfect example of how a narcissist reacts when confronted with the harm they caused you.

Even once finally admitting to the abuse (which was only done after realizing that I was actually not coming back this time) , the conversation was immediatly flipped to “his hurt”, “his pain”, “his reasons for doing harm”.

It’s a manipulations tactic called DARVO, designed to use the victims empathetic nature to get THEM to apologize to the ABUSER.

They want an emotional reaction from you. Once they can’t control your emotions , they can’t control you.

The best response is to block all communication.

You’ll never get a real apology, or an action plan for change, or genuine remorse. Because in their mind, they really did nothing wrong.
