Focus of the week: Ease & just being here now ✨
Yesssssss….. It’s time for another *ease* week, friend. 🙌
As always….
1) We’ll invite ease into our body…
2) We’ll keep tuning in + sensing our body as a way to stay present in the moment…
This step, this undulation, this shake, this kick, this bounce, this breath, this splash, this wiggle…
Each sensation we notice helping us stay embodied + anchored in the juicy here and now…
Wildly present + alive…
And yet also…
at ease… 💛
Oh man, I love this returning to this practice so much! :) As always, can’t wait to see what we notice this week. See you soon!
With love,
💛 Dani

Focus of the week: Play, Levity, & Lightness ✨
Friend---Halloween week is HERE!!! 🎃 And that means it’s time to let our inner child out to PLAY! 🙌
Come on over to shake off any stress and let loose with us this week. We’ll have a special Halloween playlist, and costumes are very much welcome & encouraged.
No costume? No problem! Come dance anyway. I’ll have some extra costumes, wigs, capes, etc. to share at the ballroom (if desired)… or you can simply come join us in the belly laughs, air guitar, and big JOY vibes.
This week’s all about allowing ourselves to lighten up... So, if taking a break from adulting, hopping into a costume, and bouncing around the room with other humans in costumes sounds good to your soul… we’ll see you soon! 🫶
Much love,
💛 Dani

Focus of the week: sensing harmony ✨
This week, we’ll wrap up our focus of *connecting* with the music by focusing on the delicious sensation of harmony. As we dance (or move through life), we’ll simply practice being in harmony of the music (and the world around us).
One of my favorite things about the word harmony is that when I think of it, I think of many unique layers contributing to something bigger. For example, in a song, the band members aren’t simply playing and amplifying the exact same note…. they each provide their own unique sounds and vibrations. Altogether, the combination creates a beautifully rich, full, textured experience that is so very pleasing to be immersed in.
As we dance with beautifully textured songs, we have a variety of different instruments, sounds, and textures to be able to connect with. We can move with the bass... or the shaker… voices… piano... drums…… A whole smorgasbord of possible connections awaits! We don’t even need to limit ourselves to just one sound at a time… Our feet might dance with the drums as our hands follow the swirling of the strings. Perhaps our voice also sings along with the lyrics. So many possibilities for connection all at once…. Ahhh! I love it so much!
This week in class, we’ll once again enjoy those opportunities for connection… but we can also zoom out even further and notice how we ourselves can contribute to the broader harmony of the whole. And in the same way that each unique band instrument creates a beautiful important layer, we too —by contributing our uniqueness as we dance and sing— contribute to the experience. Whether it is the unique way we are moving, the smiles we share, the notes we sing, the reflections we share after class, the way we peacefully hold space for one another… We each contribute to the vibe. Our unique individual layer provides additional depth, texture, and opportunities for connection (both in class and beyond).
I mean... how cool is that?
So yep… this week is once again all about the vibes, man…. :)
As always, can’t wait to see what we discover. See you soon!

Focus of the week: Resonance & dissonance (connecting with the music - wk 3) ✨
Hello, beautiful soul!
The past couple of weeks of *connecting* with the music as we dance (aka vibin’) has been so great, friend. Thank you so much for joining me. I can’t wait to hear more about what you’ve been noticing, observing, and sensing with it all.
We’re going to continue with this focus again, but with just a bit more specificity this week…….
One of the things that really came up for me last week, was noticing the spectrum of sensing resonance vs dissonance.
By resonance I just mean when we feel really aligned and in harmony with the music (or vibes, more broadly speaking)…
And by dissonance I mean when we felt disconnected with, off of, or at odds with/clashing with the music (or vibes around us)…
Ahhhhh resonance. So delicious! I love tuning into, connecting with, and letting the music move me. I love that sensation of harmony and oneness. We’ve mostly focused on tuning into that sensation these past few weeks, so I won't write too much more about that today… but…. what this focus has had me really pondering lately is how we might experience the other end of the spectrum: dissonance.
I think in the past, I would’ve thought unfavorably of dissonance. But with this focus, I’ve actually really been appreciating the sensations of dissonance when they arise. Not necessarily enjoying them when they occur… but I’m feeling more grateful for them.
Here’s what this focus has me pondering lately….
1). When might the experience of dissonance be an important sign? For example, when might dissonance be my body’s signal to me that this person, place, activity, vibe, etc. isn’t for me, and that it’s time to go…
2). Might dissonance simply show we are on different wavelength than someone else right now? Another person’s current vibe doesn’t have to be right or wrong… perhaps it can simply be what it is (and it can stay theirs)… What if we don’t have to join or match the vibes of others around us? What if we just allow for the difference (the dissonance) to exist?
3). Alternatively, when might dissonance be a sign that I should perhaps do something to shift my own vibe? What might help me do so?
4). When might I want to join in and blend with the vibe around me, vs. when might I want to sustain my own vibe bubble? :)
5). Can recognizing my experience of discomfort as dissonance help me be more ok with it (so that I don’t just quickly match the vibe around me)? Can recognizing the dissonance help me sustain my own vibe?
6). Might dissonance be a sign that some boundaries could be helpful?
7). Can we increase our tolerance for dissonance? How might that be helpful? Can I get more comfortable with the discomfort?
Thoughts, friend?
Does any of this resonate? Or… disonate? :)
As always, can’t wait to hear about what you’ve noticed this past week too (and see what we discover together next)! See you soon!
