Dr. Windy Blades Helping others find clarity and peace through healing their mind, body, and spirit, for full-body wellness. Army Combat Veteran, and a perpetual student.

Life can be hard, but it is OUR decision on how hard our lives can and will be. I am a daughter, niece, mother, grandmother, disabled U.S. When I finished my military commitment (1996), I wanted to find a way to give back to my community and military/veteran family. This is when the Tactical Health & Wellness Center planning started to percolate. I wanted to create a space for people like me: those with physical limitations due to my military service. This also translates to First Responders, as their injuries can be similar in nature. The goal is to heal the body through mind, body, and spirit rehabilitation modalities in a clinical and post-clinical environment. At one point in my life (2004), I worked with a local (to Hampton Roads) Minor League Football team as a sideline trainer and medical support. I did that for 10 years and LOVED IT. I found, during that time that I had an aptitude for health, and how the body works and moves. Understand, that at that time, I was carrying about 100+ extra pounds on my 5'2" frame and was unhappy with my life and its trajectory. I started to do a deep dive into my life. Retrospective soul-searching can be painful, but extremely enlightening. That was when I changed my educational path from Administration, because I was good at it, to Health Sciences. After all, that is my calling. I found that I was the one that was keeping me from truly moving forward to living my truth. I had not been listening to God, who was constantly telling me I was NOT on the right path for my life. Let me explain ------

I have been working in the construction field, in some way, for over 30 years: during my time in the military and after. I have worked 30 years in the government space and then in 2021 made the jump out of that space into the Healthcare space (still in Construction, by the way). During all of this time, I was still struggling with my weight and my own mindset. I have been on my own self-care journey over the last 10-12+ years, to remove my own blockages. I came to the conclusion that I was holding on to past traumas and it was preventing me from moving forward in my personal and professional life, as well as preventing me from dropping the extra weight I was carrying. In July of 2023, I was DONE! I was fed up. I HAD to do something and really leaned into making a change. I found an incredible program to partner with for meal planning, a training program, the appropriate supplements to assist, and working with an amazing coach. Joining the Sculpt Nation family and the VShred Program was a game changer for me. Couple that with the work I have done with GypSea Roots Collective in clearing my Chakra, and I have dropped over 50 pounds in 7 months. My newest achievement is obtaining my Reiki Master Certification. Granted, I am NOT done with my journey, but WOW, what a journey it has been. Tactical Health & Wellness is the first stage of the Tactical Health & Wellness Center, as the planning for the Center is ongoing; working with the design team on the conceptual plans, to finalize the financial model, which rounds out the business plan. All necessary steps in being able to start the Capital Campaign. More announcements will be forthcoming on milestones and progress on where we are. So, right now, we are focusing on performing Reiki, continuing my Health, Life, and Executive Coaching with a focus on Mindset Transformation, and Business Strategic Operational Change Implementation, which couples with the Executive Coaching. I am so excited that my dream is starting to become a reality, and it is through my journey that this is possible!!! Never give up on yourself OR your dreams. No dream is too big, BUT you must write them down and develop a plan, or they will REMAIN a dream!!

🌿 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀.

Sometimes, they begin with something small.

Taking a moment to notice how you are feeling. Recognizing a pattern in how you respond to stress. Pausing before reacting. Making room to recover instead of immediately moving on to the next thing.

These small practices may seem simple, but they can help you become more intentional about how you navigate life's demands.

That is the idea behind my 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 approach: learn, practice, reflect, and identify the next step you can take.

This November, I am offering two opportunities to explore that process:

What does building resilience look like for you? 🌿

Maybe it is taking time to understand why stress affects you the way it does. Maybe it is learning practical tools you can use when life feels overwhelming. Or maybe it is stepping away from your usual routine to reflect, reset, and make space for yourself.

However you begin, you do not have to figure it all out at once.

At Tactical Health & Wellness, my goal is to help people move beyond simply pushing through stress and begin developing more intentional ways to respond.

That is why I am offering 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿!

This evening, let's talk about what stress is really doing—and what you can do about it.

You can know you're stressed and still struggle to change how you respond.

You can recognize that you're overwhelmed and still find yourself pushing through the day on autopilot.

Awareness is important. But learning what to do with that awareness matters, too.

That's why I created 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 —a practical, 90-minute virtual workshop designed to help you better understand your stress response, recognize your patterns, and explore tools you can begin using in everyday life.

We will discuss the science behind stress and work through practical approaches to responding more intentionally when pressure builds.

This is not about eliminating stress from your life. It is about building your capacity to navigate it.

If you have been thinking about making time for this, consider this your invitation.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and leave with practical strategies to explore in your own life.

You can't pour from an empty cup. But sometimes, you don't realize how depleted you are until everything starts feeling harder than it should.

Your concentration slips. Small frustrations feel bigger. Your mind keeps running long after the workday ends.

You keep moving, hoping that eventually things will slow down enough for you to catch your breath.

But what if you didn't have to wait until you were running on empty to start doing something differently?

Managing stress isn't about eliminating every challenge in your life. It's about learning to recognize your stress responses and developing practical ways to pause, reset, and recover.

That's what 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 is about: building your capacity to respond, rather than simply pushing through.

Join me for my upcoming virtual workshop:

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹

You are exhausted. But when was the last time you actually felt rested?

The workday ends, but your mind keeps going.

You are replaying conversations. Thinking about tomorrow's deadlines. Mentally reviewing everything you still need to do.

You finally lie down, but switching off feels almost impossible.

And when morning comes? You get up and do it all again; rinse and repeat.

When you have been operating under pressure for a long time, being constantly alert can begin to feel normal. You may not even realize how difficult it has become to slow down.

But being used to stress does not mean you have to ignore what it's costing you.

𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲.

Learning to recognize your stress responses and practicing ways to pause, regulate, and recover can be a starting point toward a different way forward.

That is what we will explore in our upcoming virtual workshop:

10/24/2026

You do not have to overhaul your life to start building resilience.

You can start small.

Take two minutes between meetings to breathe and reset.
Step away from your screen during lunch.
Notice when you are holding tension in your shoulders.
Give yourself a moment before responding to a frustrating email.
Make room for a little recovery instead of pushing straight into the next task.

These actions may seem small, especially when your responsibilities feel anything but small.

But building a healthier response to stress does not have to start with a dramatic change. It can start with noticing what you need and choosing one action that supports you.

The goal is not to eliminate every stressful moment. It is to build the awareness and skills to navigate those moments more intentionally.

That is what we will work on together in my upcoming 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 virtual workshop.

10/23/2026

You're the one everyone counts on.

The person who gets the job done. Solves the problem. Shows up when things get difficult. Makes sure everyone else is taken care of.

But when was the last time you checked in with yourself?

Not to see how much more you can accomplish. Not to figure out what needs to be done next.

But to ask yourself, “How am I really doing?”

When you're accustomed to pushing through, it's easy to overlook your own needs until the pressure starts catching up with you.

You matter outside of what you do for everyone else.

Building resilience starts with recognizing what's happening within you and learning how to respond intentionally.

So, let me ask you:

Are you giving yourself the same care and attention you give everyone else?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

And if you're ready to explore practical ways to manage stress and build resilience, join me for my upcoming virtual workshop.

What does stress look like in you?

Not everyone reacts to pressure the same way.

Some people become irritable.
Some go quiet and withdraw.
Some work harder, take on more, and keep pushing as if nothing is wrong.
Others find themselves distracted, overwhelmed, or unable to switch off when the workday ends.

You may even respond differently depending on the situation.

The challenge is that we often recognize stress in other people long before we recognize it in ourselves.

But awareness matters.

When you begin noticing your own patterns, you have an opportunity to pause, understand what's happening, and choose how you want to respond.

You do not have to judge the response. Start by noticing it.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲?

Understanding your patterns is one step toward building a more intentional response to pressure.

We will explore stress awareness and practical resilience tools in my upcoming virtual workshop:
