There is no substitute for having a physician who knows you, listens to you and has time to answer your questions.

Healthcare decisions can be complicated. A strong, trusting relationship with your physician gives patients something increasingly important: a knowledgeable partner who can help them understand their options and make decisions with confidence.
That relationship is worth protecting.

Wyoming physicians work every day to preserve the time, trust and communication that allow physicians and patients to make healthcare decisions together.

Your care is at our core.

Health care quality isn’t a finish line. It’s the ongoing work of asking what can be safer, clearer, more effective, and better for patients.

During Healthcare Quality Week, we recognize the people across Wyoming’s health care system who turn those questions into meaningful improvements every day, from the exam room to the boardroom.

Better systems support better care, and that work matters in every Wyoming community.

Happy Healthcare Quality Week!
High-quality health care is built every day through careful decisions, strong teams, continuous improvement, and a shared commitment to putting patients first.

This week, WMS recognizes the physicians, clinicians, quality professionals, and health care teams across Wyoming who work to make care safer, more effective, and more responsive to the needs of their patients.
Thank you for the work you do to strengthen health care in communities across our state.

Healthcare can be complicated. Medical terminology, treatment options, insurance requirements and an increasingly complex healthcare system can leave patients with a lot of questions.

That’s why communication matters.
Physicians spend years developing the knowledge and training needed to care for patients, but excellent care also means making room for questions, explaining options and helping patients understand what comes next.

October is Health Literacy Month, and we want to hear from you:

WMS wrapped up day two of the Primary Care Symposium on Saturday by kicking it off with great morning of conversation and connection!

We were pleased to welcome Republican gubernatorial candidate Eric Barlow, who arrived early to visit with our sponsors and attendees before sharing his vision for healthcare in Wyoming and answering questions from physicians and healthcare professionals.

The morning continued with an outstanding lineup of presentations covering obstetric emergencies, substance use destigmatization, diabetes technology, measles in Wyoming, and innovative approaches to treating traumatic injuries.

We closed the educational program with Dr. Phil Stahel's powerful presentation on leadership, zero harm, and building a culture of high reliability in healthcare.

A tremendous thank you to our speakers, sponsors, and attendees for two days of meaningful education, thoughtful discussion, and collaboration to advance healthcare in Wyoming!

Physicians Shape the Future of Medicine
The future of medicine isn’t shaped in just one place.

It happens in exam rooms. In hospitals and clinics. Through medical research and education. In conversations with policymakers. And every time a physician advocates for a patient who needs timely, high-quality care.

Across Wyoming, physicians are helping shape that future while keeping one thing at the center: their patients.

The patient-physician relationship is at the heart of medicine. When physicians have the time and ability to listen, answer questions and care for their patients without unnecessary barriers, healthcare works better.

Your care is at our core.

A huge thank you to TDC | The Doctors Company for sponsoring the Welcome Reception at this year’s Wyoming Primary Care Symposium.

The reception gives our attendees a chance to step away from the agenda, catch up with colleagues, make new connections, and enjoy some time together before another full day of education.

We’re grateful for TDC’s continued support of Wyoming physicians and for helping make this gathering possible.

Thank you, TDC | The Doctors Company, for continuing to support the Wyoming medical community.

Tomorrow night, we celebrate 50 years of graduate medical education in Wyoming.

The University of Wyoming Graduate Medical Education Residency Program 50th Anniversary Gala takes place Saturday evening in Casper, bringing together alumni, faculty, physicians, partners, and friends to recognize five decades of training and service.

It will be a special evening of reconnecting, celebrating the people who helped build Wyoming’s GME legacy, and looking ahead to the next chapter.

We’re especially grateful to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for serving as our Gala Sponsor and helping make this milestone celebration possible.

Next week’s Wyoming Primary Care Symposium brings together experts from Wyoming and the surrounding region for practical education designed for today’s primary care environment.

Sessions will explore topics including dementia and palliative care, telehealth innovation, weight management and obesity treatments, rheumatology, health care accessibility, obstetric emergencies, substance use, diabetes technology, measles, patient safety, and treatment of burn and traumatic injuries.

Just as important, the Symposium creates time to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and strengthen the relationships that support health care across Wyoming.
