Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council

The Council identifies the advanced practice role as a specialty that is essential to the delivery of high quality and cost effective health care.

The Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council (VFAPNC) is an association of advanced practice nurses organized to advance, foster, encourage, promote, and improve the care given to patients by Advanced Practice Nurses. The VFAPNC is an association of advanced practice nurses organized to advance, foster, encourage, promote and improve the care given to patients by Advanced Practice Nurses. The Council believes that continuing education is essential to professional growth, excellence in clinical practice and optimal patient outcomes. The provision of opportunities for continuing education is an integral activity of VFAPNC. The Council further believes in educating the community as to the role of the Advanced Practice Nurse. The Council supports efforts to assist community organizations in the delivery of health care to the public. The Council is involved in legislative reform to ensure optimum healthcare for their community and fosters awareness of such legislation that may affect the people they serve. The Council members serve as role models for all nurses in their community and encourage mentorship and preceptorship of advanced practice students and novice nurses within their district.

✨️Walking with Heart, Purpose, and passion. Today members of the Volusia Flagler Advanced Practice Nursing Council (VFAPNC) stepped out together to participate in the local Breast Cancer Walk.
✨️As Advance practice nurses and healthcare providers, we spend our days caring for patients facing complex health journeys. But when we walk alongside our community, honoring the warriors, celebrating the survivors, and remembering the precious lives lost, it touches our hearts in a truly profound way.
✨️Every single step we took was a tribute to the strength of those who fight, the courage of their families, and the promise of a future with better treatments and a cure. 💗
✨️To everyone who walked with us, donated, cheered from the sidelines, or sent love from afar: thank you. Together, we are showing our community that no one walks this journey alone.

A fantastic bonus meeting was held at Hyde Park on October 12th. We heard Lisa continue her discussion about Non-Cystic Fibrosis Bronchiectasis disease state. We did some great case studies that allowed us opportunities to ask questions and learn more. Lisa is a dynamic speaker, and we appreciate her taking the time to speak to our council!
