Many people assume home health and home care are the same, but understanding the difference can help families find the right type of support.

While home care focuses on non-medical assistance with daily activities, home health is designed to help patients recover from illness, injury or surgery and manage chronic conditions with the support of licensed clinicians.

A CNA repositioned 12 patients last night to prevent pressure injuries.

Cleaned up after 4 incontinent patients.

Sat with a dying man who had no family for 45 minutes so he wouldn’t pass alone.

Then clocked out making $16 an hour.

Meanwhile the facility is billing families $30–$40+ an hour for that same care.

I’m not saying caregivers shouldn’t work for facilities…

But I am saying many caregivers don’t realize they can work for themselves and get their own private clients.
