As October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month come to a close, we wanted to take a moment to recognize why this month is so important to us at Kalla. 💗

Women’s health is at the heart of what we do, and breast health is an important part of that conversation.

This month, we’ve had the opportunity to connect with survivors, healthcare providers, and members of our community through events and conversations focused on breast cancer awareness, education, reconstruction options, genetic testing, and wellness beyond a diagnosis.

While October brings extra attention to breast cancer, the importance of understanding your risks, staying current on recommended screenings, and advocating for your health doesn’t end when the month does.

From all of us at Kalla, thank you to everyone who helped make this month meaningful. We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to support women’s health year-round. 🤍

October 21 is Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day—and this year, it coincides with our BEYOND Breast Cancer event.

BRA Day is about making sure patients know their reconstruction options and have access to the information they need to make informed decisions about their care.

But that conversation shouldn’t end after reconstruction.
Long-term follow-up matters, too. From understanding recommendations for breast implant monitoring and surveillance to reconnecting with your plastic surgeon if you’ve been lost to follow-up, ongoing care is an important part of the conversation.

That’s why reconstruction—and what comes after it—will be part of what we’re talking about at BEYOND Breast Cancer: A BRA Day & Wellness Event.
