Hi, I am Stephanie Gordier, the face behind Elements in Dance Therapy.
Dance has been a part of my life since the age of three. What began as a childhood passion grew through years of competitions, recitals, and performances into a lifelong commitment to movement, music, and artistic expression.
As an adult, I discovered my love for Latin dance, embracing the rhythms and cultures of bachata, salsa, kizomba, and konpa. These styles have become an important part of my personal and professional journey, allowing me to connect with people through music, movement, and the joy of dance, with passion and purpose.
Today, I teach and perform both locally and through travel opportunities, sharing my passion at wedding celebrations, corporate events, community festivals, birthday parties, and other special occasions. Whether I am helping a couple prepare for their first dance as newlyweds, introducing a group to Latin dance, or performing for an audience, my goal is to create meaningful experiences that bring people together.
Beyond the dance floor, I am also an emergency room nurse. Being in healthcare has strengthened my appreciation for the importance of caring for the whole person—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well.
Dance is a powerful tool for connection and well-being. It offers opportunities to move our bodies, express our emotions, relieve stress, build confidence, and connect with others. I am especially passionate about exploring how dance can complement a healthy lifestyle and contribute to a greater sense of balance and quality of life.
My vision is to continue growing as a dance professional while expanding the ways I share dance with individuals, couples, organizations, and communities. By bringing together my experience in healthcare and my lifelong love of dance, I hope to inspire others to discover the joy of movement and experience its benefits for our body and mind.
For me, dance is more than steps, music, or performance. My mission is to bring people together through dance, inspire movement, and celebrate the connection between physical activity, emotional expression, and human well-being.
