Text I received this morning just a heads up everyone no matter where you are located we are seeing a lot more wounds that are fentanyl related.  you’re going to see xylazine mix with fentanyl on the street on the east side of the USA 🇺🇸 mostly

I created the fentanyl and xylazine policies that are located in my wound coach AI - policies and procedures in case you might need them. Yes it’s FREE

Hey Nancy, I just wanted to tell you that I became aware of a patient who injects fentanyl (probably mixed with Xylazine). Came to a local ER near me and his wounds cultured out cutaneous Diphtheria. Yet another complication of these wounds!

The days of changing dressings 2-3 times a day are over!
Challenge yourself to choose a “long wear” dressing. Our patients’ dressing can stay in place for an extended period of time and this will allow the wound to do what it needs to do which is “HEAL”

We all know that Doctor who orders wet-to-dry dressings! Using wet-to-dry dressings has been shown to delay healing. On each removal, healthy tissue has the potential to be damaged. This leads to trauma and pain for our patients.
