Cramps. Bloating. Breast tenderness. Mood swings.

We've always been told this is normal, but it’s not.

These are signs of a hormonal imbalance and they are 100% worth investigating.

The DUTCH test shows us not just your hormone levels, but how your body is actually metabolizing them. Because sometimes that's where the real answer lives.

You don't have to suffer every month.

If you’re ready to dig deeper and start getting real answers, I’d love to work with you.

“If not us, then who?”

Almost every day someone walks through our door after years of being bounced between specialists, told their labs are normal, or told it’s probably just stress. Many of them tell us we’re their last stop.

I take that seriously. We sit down with your full history and ask the questions nobody had time for. We use in-depth testing like the DUTCH hormone panel and the GI-MAP to see what’s happening beneath the surface. And when a case doesn’t add up, I keep researching after hours and on weekends until we find a next step.

I know what it’s like to be dismissed and how much it means when someone finally believes you.

If you’ve been told there’s nothing more anyone can do, I’d love the chance to take a fresh look.

50 years of chronic digestive struggles. A life-changing improvement.

This is why I believe in looking beyond symptoms to better understand what's happening in the body.

Gut health is complex, and finding the right approach starts with understanding each patient's unique health history, needs, and underlying factors.

Hearing stories like this is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. So grateful for the trust my patients place in me!

I work with patients both in-office and via telehealth - so no matter where you are, we can get started.

Not everyone talking about perimenopause online has actually lived it.

And there is a difference.

Understanding the clinical side is one thing, but knowing what it actually feels like when your body is shifting, your sleep is gone, your mood is unrecognizable, and your doctor tells you everything looks "normal"? That takes lived experience.

I thought I was a fabulous physician for pregnant women, until I got pregnant. I thought I was the best perimenopause provider, until I started going through it myself. What better way to address an issue than to choose someone who has been there too?

Training matters. Experience matters. But so does knowing firsthand what this transition actually feels like in your own body.

Choose your sources wisely.

I work with patients both in-office and via telehealth - so no matter where you are, we can get started.

When hormones begin changing, it’s easy to assume the answer starts and ends with hormones.

But I encourage patients to look at the foundations too:

Blood sugar.
Protein.
Fiber.
Muscle.
Movement.
Sleep.
Your nervous system.
Nutrient status.

These systems are interconnected, and supporting them can create a stronger foundation as your body moves through perimenopause and menopause.

You don’t have to overhaul everything overnight. Start with the basics, build consistency, and work with a provider when you need a more individualized plan.

Supporting your nervous system doesn't have to be complicated or expensive.

Sometimes, the simplest daily habits can make a meaningful difference in how your body responds to stress.

Small, intentional moments throughout your day can help support a calmer, more regulated nervous system.

Which of these do you already incorporate into your routine?

🍂 One of my favorite things about traveling? Shopping local and bringing home little treasures with a story. 🤍

There’s something special about discovering small businesses and talented makers who pour their heart into what they create. On our recent trip along the North Shore of Lake Superior, I found a few delightful treasures that I couldn’t wait to bring home!

🎨 A watercolor set from The Big Lake | Grand Marais, MN in Grand Marais. I picked this up as a reminder to slow down, get creative, and give my nervous system a little breather. Sometimes we need to step away from the to-do list, put down our phones, and do something simply because it brings us joy. No productivity required!

🍵 Herbal tea from Anahata Herbals. I love supporting businesses that are intentional about what they offer. Since 2010, Anahata Herbals has supported the use of organic and wildcrafted herbs. Pair the tea with a favorite mug and a new book…A little reminder that some of the simplest pleasures in life can be found in a warm cup of tea and a quiet moment.

🧣 A gorgeous botanical-dyed scarf by Michele Grindal. What makes this one extra special? Michele uses leaves from her own Lake Superior backyard to create these beautiful, nature-inspired pieces. How amazing is that? Wearing a little piece of the North Shore feels like bringing home a bit of its beauty.

The older I get, the more I appreciate the beauty of slowing down, supporting local makers, and being intentional about the things we bring into our lives.

Our health isn’t just about what we eat or what supplements we take. It is also about how we live, how we manage stress, how we make room for creativity and whether we give ourselves permission to simply “be” instead of “do”.

You are not alone, I struggle with it too.đź’•

Estrogen gets a lot of attention during perimenopause, but it’s only one piece of the picture.

Estrogen, progesterone and testosterone each play different roles throughout the body, and they don’t operate independently.

Your adrenal hormones are part of the conversation too.

That’s one reason I look beyond a single symptom or lab marker when evaluating how someone is feeling during perimenopause.

Your symptoms can give us clues. Your biochemistry can give us more context. And together, they can help guide a more personalized approach.

I work with patients both in-office and via telehealth - so no matter where you are, we can get started.
