Our Superior Van & Mobility - 1110 Mathias Dr. Springdale, AR team had a wonderful time at Concordia of Bella Vista Retirement Community’s Candy Carnival on October 29th in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

It was such a joy to see families, friends, and community members come together for an afternoon filled with Halloween fun. There were so many amazing costumes, from creative handmade creations to imaginative favorites, and the excitement and smiles throughout the event made it a memorable afternoon. And bonus, they made this event accessible and disability friendly.

Justin Pelz, Mobility Consultant, and Amber Quaid, Community Outreach Manager, enjoyed being there as exhibitors and connecting with everyone who stopped by.

A big thank-you to Concordia Retirement Community for opening its doors and creating such a fun, welcoming opportunity for the community to come together. We appreciate organizations that make inclusion, connection, and meaningful community experiences a priority.

Our team at Superior Van & Mobility - 7323 C**k of the Walk N. Little Rock, AR had a great time at the 2026 Paula Rader Trunk or Treat, hosted by Achieve Community Alliance on October 22 in Little Rock! Jon Pardue and Amber Quaid enjoyed the creative costumes, decorated trunks, and fun Wizard of Oz and Wicked themes.

Held in memory of Paula Rader, the event celebrates inclusion and brings individuals with disabilities, families, and the community together. We’re grateful to Achieve Community Alliance for continuing this meaningful tradition and proud to support events that foster connection, belonging, and fun!

At just 11 years old, Weston Sears keeps busy doing what he loves, from band and media club to Boy Scouts. His enthusiasm for life and determination to be involved in the things that matter to him are something special.

Have you ever wondered how the familiar blue-and-white wheelchair parking symbol came to be? ♿️

The International Symbol of Access was created in 1968 by Danish design student Susanne Koefoed. Its simple, recognizable design became a global symbol of accessibility, helping identify spaces and facilities intended for people with disabilities. In the United States, accessible parking signs have become an everyday part of making public spaces more inclusive.

But as our understanding of disability and accessibility evolves, so does the conversation about how we represent it.

Over the years, alternative designs have emerged, including the Accessible Icon movement, which depicts a more active, forward-leaning wheelchair user. Supporters say the updated design better represents independence, movement, and the people who use mobility devices. Others believe the original symbol is universally recognized and that changing it could create confusion.

So, should we rethink one of the world’s most recognizable accessibility symbols?
