Finally back from the hair debacle that was my unexpected MRI & surgery 😂👏🏼

If you missed it, I had to have emergency surgery and needed an MRI, which meant my hair extensions had to come out. Obviously, this was NOT part of the plan. 🙃 Lo was literally rushing to the hospital to help me like the queen that she is. But instead, she coached me through teaching my nurse how to remove my wefts… and we just did it ourselves. 😂

So naturally, Lo and I are now working on a tutorial for local hospitals on how to remove weft extensions. Stay tuned for our educational series on MRI-friendly hair extensions & weft removal💀😂

All jokes aside, Lo is an absolute queen, and thank you for bringing me back to life and getting my hair vacation-ready. 🤍✈️ Nobody does it like you!

Love your lips. 💋

Vertical lip lines can develop for so many reasons…. sun exposure, repetitive movements like sipping through a straw, smoking, and, of course, the natural aging process.

The secret? It’s not always about adding volume. It’s about strategy. 👄 For this transformation, I combined strategically placed dermal filler in the upper and lower lips with the addition of neurotoxin to soften the appearance of vertical lip lines and create a smoother, more refreshed result. ✨

Little life update… I had my first surgery. 🤍

A lot of you have been along with me on my gallbladder journey (saga) over the last 5 years, so I felt like an update was warranted…..

“It’s a redundant organ.”
“You don’t need a gallbladder.”
“It’s really not that big of a deal.”

But it felt like a big deal to me….

Having an organ removed, going under anesthesia, and knowing my body would have to adapt to a new normal felt like a big deal. Even if it was just a “sack of stones,” it was still a part of me.

I debated sharing this because, medically speaking, gallbladder removal is routine. But I’ve learned that just because something is routine doesn’t mean it feels insignificant to the person experiencing it.

As a nurse practitioner, I’ve always navigated the space between evidence-based medicine and a more natural, holistic approach to caring for ourselves. It’s a big part of WHY I created IVMe Milwaukee ……to bridge that gap.

As I recover, I’ll continue leaning into the integrative services and support we offer to help me navigate healing and this new normal. Because caring for ourselves doesn’t stop when a procedure is over. 🤍

Here’s your reminder that you’re allowed to feel what you feel, even when the world tells you it’s “not that big of a deal.”
