How to know if your kombucha is REAL…

Here’s a good test! Someone in my family (who shall remain nameless, lol) left about an inch of our Cranberry Cayenne kombucha in a bottle sitting on the counter.

Within just a few days, it grew its very own mini SCOBY pellicle! 🤯

That’s the beauty of REAL, raw, unpasteurized kombucha! It’s alive with a community of living bacteria and yeast (aka the SCOBY). While growing a pellicle isn’t the only indicator of live cultures, it’s a pretty cool example of just how ALIVE our kombucha really is!

So make sure the kombucha you’re drinking hasn’t been heat-treated or pasteurized. Or, just to be safe, drink ours. 😉

Oh, and please rinse your bottle and return it for your $1 bottle credit rather than leaving it on the sink! 😂
