🫧 Dish soap vs. makeup brushes! 💄

I'd never actually cleaned mine 🙈, so just you wait...

I deal with eczema on my face, and it's a SUPER sensitive area, so I'm really careful about what comes into contact with my skin.

After seeing someone clean their brushes with Dove Original, I got curious about the ingredients.

Dove's Original Beauty Bar is actually a syndet bar (made with synthetic detergents), and it contains "fragrance (parfum)."

Here's what bothers me: under U.S. labeling rules, fragrance blends can be listed under that ONE word without disclosing every individual component. And some fragrance ingredients can cause irritation or interfere with hormone signaling.

For me, ingredient transparency matters more than a cheap price tag.

So I grabbed our handmade cold-process dish soap, made with saponified coconut oil, cocoa butter, and castor oil, and put it to the test!

And the amount of makeup that came out?! 😳

Dish soap vs. laundry! One of our best selling products we discovered by accident.

"What do you mean it gets out eyeliner?" Megan asked when her mother-in-love described using our dish soap on her sweater.

And here it is getting blood out of my favorite jeans.

Our stain sticks share the same recipe as our dish soap, but come in an easier to hold shape.

First you wet the garment and the stick and you rub the stick into the stain.

You can scrub it together if you're inspired-or really desperate to not be down a pair of jeans.

Then let it sit. 🛑 Don't wash it out right away.

Throw it in your next load of laundry and be prepared to marvel at the results.

This stain had set for a day, by the way, but the pants are good as new!
