We spend so much of our lives chasing success that sometimes we forget what actually matters.

The money, the cars, the titles, the recognition… none of it means much if we’re not making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest things. Helping someone through a difficult time, believing in someone when they’ve given up on themselves, or simply being there when they need it most.

You don’t have to change the world to make a difference. Sometimes changing one person’s world is enough.

At the end of the day, it’s not about what you have. It’s about the impact you leave behind. ❤️

What does your health insurance company hope you never pay attention to? 👀

I had the opportunity to sit down with the CEO of a health insurance company and ask him a question most patients probably never think to ask.

And his answer was both eye-opening and surprisingly educational.

As a physical therapist, I see firsthand how confusing health insurance can be for patients. Most people pay for coverage every month without fully understanding what they’re actually paying for.

The more you understand your coverage, the better you can advocate for yourself and your health.

💬 After hearing his answer, do you agree or disagree?

📲 Save this with if you believe you pay too much for health insurance.

Back pain is like the common cold. 🤧

Most of us will experience it at some point in our lives.

And just like catching a cold doesn’t automatically mean something serious is wrong, having back pain doesn’t necessarily mean your spine is damaged.

The good news? Most episodes of acute lower back pain improve with time, and staying active as tolerated is usually better than prolonged bed rest.

BUT there are some red flags you should NEVER ignore.

🚨 Seek emergency medical attention if you experience:
🚩 New loss of bladder or bowel control.
🚩 Numbness around your groin or inner thighs (saddle anesthesia).
🚩 New or rapidly worsening weakness in your legs.
🚩 Severe back pain following a significant fall or accident, especially with difficulty walking.

⚠️ Get checked promptly if you experience:
🚩 Back pain with fever or chills.
🚩 Unexplained weight loss or a history of cancer with new back pain.
🚩 Persistent or worsening pain that isn’t improving.

The takeaway?
Back pain is COMMON. Serious causes are much LESS common.

Don’t panic every time your back hurts, but don’t ignore the warning signs either.

💾 Save this so you know when back pain needs medical attention.
📲 Share it with someone who’s always complaining about their back!

Your mid-back shouldn’t feel like it’s made of concrete.

If you’re constantly twisting, stretching, or cracking your back just to feel some relief, give these 4 movements a try.

Your mid-back (thoracic spine) is designed to rotate and extend. When you spend most of your day sitting, driving, or hunched over a screen, those movements can start feeling pretty restricted.

Here are 4 exercises I like to use to get things moving again:

1️⃣ Half-Kneeling Rotation
2️⃣ Weighted T-Spine Rotation
3️⃣ Weighted T-Spine Extension
4️⃣ Banded T-Spine Extension

Start light, move slowly, and work within a comfortable range. You don’t need to force anything.

📌 SAVE this for your next mobility session.
📲 SEND it to someone who’s always complaining about a stiff back.

Imagine being a dancer and having shoulder pain so bad you can’t sleep, lift weights, or perform.

That’s exactly what he was dealing with before coming to see me.

Shoulder pain can be frustrating, especially when it starts interfering with the things you enjoy doing most.

If you’re dealing with shoulder pain and tired of letting it limit what you can do, shoot me a DM. I’d love to help you get back to doing what you love.

This isn’t PT vs. chiropractic. There are great clinicians (and questionable ones) in EVERY healthcare profession.

My issue isn’t with lumbar traction or who provides it. It’s with selling patients expensive treatments as guaranteed solutions to complex problems like back pain.

Traction may help certain people, but no single treatment works for everyone.

Whether you’re seeing a PT, chiropractor, orthopedic surgeon, or anyone else, you deserve an honest explanation of your options, realistic expectations, and a treatment plan based on YOUR needs.

Good healthcare should be about helping patients, not selling promises.

$11,000 for lumbar traction… what are your thoughts?

“I’m too busy to work out.”

“I’m getting too old.”

“I’ll start next week.”

Until one day, getting out of bed, walking across the room, or playing with your kids becomes the hardest part of your day.

This is why I’ll never stop preaching the importance of strength training.

Muscle isn’t just for looks. It’s your retirement plan for your body.

You’re not just training for the person you are today.

You’re training for the 60, 70, and 80 year old version of yourself.

And sometimes, you’re training for a battle you don’t even know is coming.

Getting older is inevitable. Getting weaker doesn’t have to be.

Send this to someone who needs a reminder of WHY we train. 💪

Physical therapist to physical therapist… we need to do better. 👀

Somewhere along the way, we normalized spending more time documenting patient care than actually providing it.

💻 Endless documentation.
⏰ Rushed appointments.
🏃‍♂️ Treating 3–4 patients at once.
📋 More focus on productivity than outcomes.

And somehow, we wonder why patients are losing faith in physical therapy.

Patients deserve more than 15 minutes of attention and a sheet of exercises.

PTs, are we actually treating patients… or just trying to survive the system? 👇
