A Two-Hour Restorative Yoga & Spiritual Reflection Workshop
Offering by Christina (Tina) Giaccio
Grief is a deeply personal experience, and there is no single way to navigate it. Whether we are experiencing the loss of someone we love or moving through another significant life transition, we may find ourselves needing a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves.
Grief as a Practice of Keeping the Heart Open offers a safe, compassionate space to honor what we carry while gently exploring how we can remain open to love, connection, and life.
Drawing from restorative yoga, breathwork, intention-setting, gentle mindful movement, meditation, and yoga philosophy, this two-hour experience invites participants to slow down and meet themselves with tenderness rather than expectation.
The practice is inspired by the yogic principles of Ahimsa (non-harming), Satya (truthfulness), and Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender to something greater than ourselves), creating opportunities for personal reflection, stillness, and spiritual connection.
There is no expectation to share personal experiences, no prescribed path through grief, and nothing to fix or overcome. Participants are invited to engage at their own comfort level, with space for quiet reflection, journaling, rest, and optional prayer.
The intention is not to force the heart open, but to create enough safety for us to soften, breathe, and allow ourselves to be present with whatever arises.
Our guiding mantra:
May I meet this moment with courage.
May I offer what love asks of me today.
May I remember that even in uncertainty,
kindness is never wasted,
presence is enough,
and love remains.
This workshop is open to anyone seeking a gentle, supportive space to explore grief, change, and the practice of remaining connected to love.
