What if it's YOU?
just show up and be real. it takes nothing more than that to be the glimmer in someone's day. send the text. say the thing. offer to buy the coffee. whatever it is. just show up and SHINE.

A note of gratitude: to all of YOU!
your presence and trust truly means the world to me. The way that Fortunes and Familiars is evolving continues to amaze me. I couldn't do it without you.

Communing with spirit in the age of internet can be WILD and unpredictable.... but so fun! Are you open to receiving messages by algorithms? Drop your experiences below, we'd love to hear them!! 👇

I went to the Rochester Institute of Technology for art back in the day. yes, there were frat houses. And no, they did not do anything to combat the stereotype of the "frat boy". if I was to go off about some of my experiences, it would be a 10 minute video (and honesty probably longer because of my Nuro-spice & side quests and all that.)

but seriously. We need to do better.

"Tarot Talk" series has been on a little pause while I research the history of cartomancy. (This could take a bit...!) But in the meantime I'll still share my personal experiences from working with the cards. 💫🔮keep reading!

A sample bone-reading to give an idea of how the experience goes. I tossed these out with a vague "where am going next" idea in my mind, so the reading is a little bit of self reflection. What would you ask if you were to "consult the curio"?

Bone throwing (* also called ‘osteomancy’, curiocasting, and throwing lots) has a vast cultural history. As far back as the Shang Dynasty (~1250 - 1050 BCE), bones were found used as a divination tool. Bone throwing has been used by Native Americans, West African cultures, and in Europe especially among the Norse and Cuelts. While used as a form of divination it is not just to predict events and outcomes, but also to receive communication from the spirit realm.

My personal curio-casting kit is an ever evolving collection of items. As with any other spiritual practice, I find it works better to grow together and change over time. As I progress with readings, I may find a need to add pieces to represent certain concepts or topics. If particular pieces continually land outside of my reading zone, perhaps they need some time to rest and change their message.
