• Avoids fine motor tasks like coloring or using scissors

Halloween games have taken over Outpatient OT at TLC! These fun games target fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, shoulder stability, sensory processing, executive functioning skills, interception awareness, self-regulation, and more!

TLC’s Unstuck and On Target® program is an evidence-based, in-person, small-group program designed to strengthen executive functioning skills and provide practical strategies for school, home, and social situations.

Students build skills in:
• Cognitive flexibility
• Problem-solving
• Planning
• Organization
• Collaboration
• Self-monitoring
• Big-picture thinking
• Compromising

Two age groups are available:

📘 Ages 11–15
Thursdays, October 15–April 29
4:15–5:30 p.m. | 24 sessions

📘 Ages 14–22
Wednesdays, October 14–April 29
4:15–5:30 p.m. | 24 sessions

November Virtual Parent Workshop: Beyond High School for DC Students

What support services are available for DC students with disabilities after high school? Join The Katherine Thomas School for a FREE virtual parent workshop on November 5 at 7 p.m.

Presenters Sandy Bernstein and Chloe Peeples of Disability Rights DC at University Legal Services will discuss vocational services, support programs, and financial assistance available through DC’s Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). Learn how to access these resources and help your child prepare for life after high school.
