NATURE Sometimes, the best way to recharge is to step outside and reconnect with nature.

Fresh air, sunlight, greenery, and quiet moments outdoors can help us slow down, ease stress, and find balance. You don't need a big adventure to feel the difference take a walk, enjoy the sunshine, care for your plants, or simply pause and breathe.

Small steps can bring natural healing and more moments of peace. Your challenge: Spend a little time in nature this week!

If you’re waiting for memory loss to start thinking about brain health, you’re starting too late.

The biological changes associated with Alzheimer’s can begin years—even decades—before noticeable cognitive symptoms appear.

That’s why I’m much more interested in what’s happening in your life on a normal day:

➕️ Sleep quality.
➕️ Blood sugar and insulin.
➕️ Muscle and exercise.
➕️ Nutrition and nutrient status.
➕️ Stress and nervous system resilience.
➕️ Social connection and purpose.
➕️ Your individual genetics and risk factors.

By the time you’re noticing memory problems, changes in the brain may have been developing for years. That’s why I want people thinking about brain health long before symptoms show up.

Want to know where to start? Comment “BRAIN” and I’ll share the foundational areas I look at for protecting long-term cognitive health.

Stress often builds when we try to manage too many responsibilities, hold on to unnecessary commitments, or avoid problems that need our attention. While we can't control every situation, we can take meaningful steps to change what is within our power.

Start by identifying what's draining your energy. Set healthier boundaries, simplify your schedule, clear unnecessary clutter, and let go of habits that contribute to stress. Sometimes, reducing stress means making difficult decisions that better align with your health, goals, and personal values.

Remember, you don't have to fix everything at once. Small, intentional changes can create momentum and help you build a healthier, more balanced life.

Remember: Imperfect action is better than no action.

Your health influences more than how you feel physically.

It affects how you think, how you manage stress, how you connect with others, and how you show up in your daily life.

When your well-being is supported, it becomes easier to give your attention to the things that matter most.

Your health is connected to every part of your life:

- Your energy and productivity
- Your mood and mental clarity
- Your relationships and daily interactions
- Your ability to pursue your goals

Taking care of your health isn't just one item on your to-do list. It's part of building a life you can fully participate in.

Creatine has spent decades as a “gym bro supplement.”

But muscle building is only half of the story.

Creatine helps maintain the phosphocreatine system, which allows cells to rapidly regenerate ATP.

Muscle needs ATP.

But so does your brain—in fact, your brain is a total energy hog.

The evidence for creatine improving strength, power and exercise performance is already extensive.

The cognitive research is newer and more nuanced.

A 2024 systematic review and meta-analysis looked at 16 randomized controlled trials involving 492 adults. Creatine supplementation was associated with improvements in memory, attention time and processing speed.

Another 2024 systematic review came to a more conservative conclusion: creatine does increase brain creatine, but the overall cognitive results remained inconsistent.

And I actually like having both papers, because science is a lot less helpful when we only pull the studies that agree with us.

My takeaway isn't that creatine makes everyone smarter.

It's that we already have an inexpensive, extensively studied intervention with strong musculoskeletal benefits—and there is a plausible mechanism plus an increasingly interesting body of evidence suggesting it may have benefits for the brain as well.

Given how important maintaining muscle is for healthy aging, it would already earn a YES from me.

The brain research makes it even more of a sell.

Comment study for links to both research articles.

A meaningful life begins with knowing your WHY.

In the middle of our busy lives, it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Discovering your deeper meaning starts with understanding your values, nurturing meaningful relationships, and making time for the things that bring you joy.

Reflect on what matters most.

Align your choices with your values.

Take small steps toward a more purposeful life.

Remember, you don’t have to have everything figured out. Start with one intentional choice each day and let your purpose guide you.

Your habit challenge: Write down your top three values and choose one way to live by them this week.

What gives your life meaning and purpose?

Sourdough focaccia is one of our kids’ favorites, but has a recipe that takes it to a new level. We usually use kamut or einkorn wheat, because they’re easier to digest. Still working on developing Lacey’s signature style with the mega air bubbles, but it’s still a lot better than any focaccia we’ve made in the past!

Once you master the basics, it’s really fun to try adding a variety of herbs and veggies. The combinations are endless, but three of our favorites are pesto, tomatoes with italian herbs and garlic olive oil, or squash and fresh lemon slices (lemon added after cooking, peel on.)

One thing to note: Use a high-quality olive oil—one that you know is actually olive oil! The best way to find this is to look locally for a smaller reseller who can tell you where they source their oil or to purchase in bulk online from a trusted seller like . We are lucky enough to have close by and they not only have high-quality olive oil, but also have infused oils and flavored vinegars that we love to use on literally everything.

Family is more than sharing a home or a last name. It's having people who celebrate your wins, support you through difficult seasons, and remind you that you don't have to face life alone.

Being part of a family means having a place where love, connection, and shared experiences shape who you become.

The strongest family bonds aren't built on perfect moments. They're built through patience, understanding, forgiveness, and showing up for one another.

What is one thing your family has taught you about love?

Purpose grows when we look beyond ourselves.

Serving others helps us develop gratitude, build meaningful connections, and find greater purpose in everyday life. You don't need grand gestures to make a difference.

A simple act of kindness, a helping hand, or a thoughtful message can brighten someone's day.

Start small, notice the needs of others, and make service part of your daily life. Sometimes, the smallest acts leave the biggest impact.

Your challenge: Find one way to help someone today.

How can you make a difference in someone's life?
