What does the research say about energy psychology? 🔬
The evidence base continues to grow in both quantity and methodological rigor. According to ACEP’s October 2025 research summary:
📘 More than 400 studies, meta-analyses, systematic reviews, and review articles have been published in professional, peer-reviewed journals.
📊 The literature includes more than 100 randomized controlled trials.
🧠 Five fMRI studies have documented neurological changes following energy psychology interventions.
📚 Thirteen meta-analyses have examined effectiveness related to depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Research has also explored outcomes involving pain, stress, trauma, food cravings, and athletic performance.
There is still more to learn, but the growing evidence base gives clinicians, researchers, and healing practitioners an increasingly strong foundation for informed conversation and responsible practice.
