Comment “NORMALS” and give me a follow for my free what’s normal guide!

Normal vs not normal newborn behavior. Hiccups, sneezes, startling and wanting to be held all the time are normal. Nose flaring, grunting with each breath, constant jitters or turning pale, gray or blue are not. If baby is blue or gray or struggling to breathe, call 911. Save this and share it with every new parent you know. 👶🍼

Comment “NORMALS” and give me a follow for my free what’s normal guide!🤱

Newborn spit-up: when to relax and when to call. Small, easy spit-ups in a happy, growing baby are usually normal. Forceful vomiting, green vomit, blood or fewer wet diapers mean call your pediatrician. Trouble breathing means call 911. Save this for the newborn days. 👶

Comment “NIPPLE” and give me a follow for my free ni**le care guide! 🤱

Some ni**le pain is normal. Some is your body asking for help. Tenderness in the first couple of weeks that eases during the feed can be normal. Pain through the whole feed, cracks or bleeding are not. It’s usually the latch, and it’s fixable. 🩷

Comment “COLOSTRUM” and give me a follow for my free colostrum guide!🍼

You don’t need a pump to collect colostrum. Hand expression often works better for those first drops. Massage, make a C, press back, compress and release, then catch every drop on a spoon or in a colostrum collector. Collecting before baby arrives? Check with your provider first. Save this for the hospital. 🤱

Comment “LATCH” and give me a follow for my free latch guide! 🤱

Feeding on demand and still low supply? Look at your latch. Frequent feeds only build supply when milk is actually removed. Check for flanged lips, a wide mouth, a tug instead of a pinch, and swallows you can hear.

Comment “PUMP” and give me a follow for my free pump guide!

5 rules for storing pumped milk so not a drop goes to waste: label it, follow the rule of 4s, store it at the back of the fridge, freeze small amounts and thaw it safely. Times follow CDC guidelines for healthy, full-term babies.

Save this and stick it on your fridge.
