Britt Fohrman As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer, I help women come home to their bodies.

As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer with over two decades of experience, I help women come home to their bodies through yoga, meditation, breathwork, somatic practices, relational mindfulness and 1:1 coaching. I specialize in sharing practices to tone the pelvic floor, enliven sexual energy and relieve pain and numbness, so that women can enjoy all the pleasure their bodies have to offer. Within the loving space I hold, my clients can feel deeper into their bodies, allowing whatever is needed to be felt and expressed, liberating them into a life led by their desires and values. Through these embodied journeys, my clients release blocks to pleasure, confidence and ease, while deepening their connection to their bodies and expanding their capacity to open more easily for their pleasure, their power, and if pregnant (or desiring to be), for their babies. I founded the Juicy Ladies community in 2018, with the intention to bring more embodied joy, pleasure and connection into the lives of women of all ages and life stages. I love helping women remember that they are strong, wise and intuitive, guiding them to meet the challenges of life with openness and softness. My playful nature and passion for balancing rest and recreation, creates nourishing practices, empowering mentorship and immersive experiences in community. My 1:1 coaching, retreats, circles and online classes will replenish your reserves and bring you back into your most luscious way of being in both practical and magical ways. Together, we’ll explore transformative practices and grounded rituals that infuse your whole life with more inspiration, balance, clarity and enjoyment. For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to educating, inspiring, supporting and sitting in the intensity of it all with childbearing women and their families.

If you really knew me well, you’d know that the farmers market is my religion. Local food. Community gathering. Out in the fresh air. Honoring the seasons. Every week.

I’ve always wanted to have my own booth to have a place where I can drop in with my community, where people can come and learn about my offerings, but most importantly, a place where we could build connection, resonance and a nourishing neighborly vibe.

I’m so grateful to my business mentor witch Rachael Maddox⚡️Launch + Scale Magic for Biz Witches for encouraging me to do things that are uniquely me, and that bring me a tremendous amount of joy, while putting myself out there so that my ideal clients can find me more easily.

If you’re in San Francisco this Sunday and wanna come hang out with me while grabbing your groceries, some brunch and enjoying some fun activities for your kids. I’ll be at the The Outer Sunset Farmers Market and Artship Container from 9 AM to 2 PM!

In addition to sharing about Juicy Ladies Retreats, circles, dance parties, and online immersions, I’ll also be selling our hats, T-shirts and bags. These creations are part of what bring me pleasure and joy in my business and I am doing a very happy b***y shake just thinking about sharing them with all of you.

And to make it even more exciting, I’ll be joined by some ladies in our community, including Nic Frick, Founder of The Career Club Mikka Bonel and Carolyn Cohen Acupuncture.

AND!!!! This is where I’ll be launching my most audacious, juiciest, wildly fun in-person event for the ladies and theydies of the Bay Area!!!

In a world where we have been trained to deny the depths of our feeling in exchange for being more acceptable, appropriate or attractive, it takes courage to embrace our full emotional range.

I don’t think I know a single woman who didn’t learn at some point to shut down a particular emotion in order to make someone else more comfortable.

But there is so much power in our capacity to feel. And as we learn through experience, when one part of our feeling spectrum gets shut down, the other end of the spectrum is muted.

When we abandon our fear, loneliness, rage, and disgust we limit our joy, pleasure and aliveness.

Have you ever allowed yourself to get turned on by being angry? Have you felt the juiciness in your jealousy? Have you felt the erotic charge buried inside of your grief?

When I was mourning the loss of my husband, I learned how to have a grief-gasm and I can say now that was the most important skill I gleaned through my healing journey. I learned that just because my husband died, didn’t mean that my turn-on went with him. I felt the experience of pleasure coursing through my nerves as my heart wept deeply for the absence of the person that I thought I’d spend at least a few more decades with at my side.

These are the kind of practices that we explore inside of Aliveness, my year long practice container for women who are ready to put their own pleasure at the center of their lives.

DM me your email and I’ll add you to the waitlist for when enrollment opens again this fall.

When I planned our embryo transfer for January 2, I wasn’t weighing that the birthday would land within Eric’s death portal. I was desperate to have this baby and that was the first date the clinic gave me. I was driven to move on with my life, with our dream, of bringing this persistent star being earthside.

The transfer was way more painful than the previous two, and I chanted OM TARE TU TARE TURE SO HAM endlessly to get through it. It was just the mantra that came to me.

10 months later, I was shaking and strapped down in the OR, having the opposite of the birth I had dreamed of, chanting the only mantra that came: OM TARE TU TARE TURE SO HAM.

In between those two summonings of the goddess of compassion and swift action, I endured a wildly mystical, intensely erotic, awe-filled, lonely, loved-up pregnancy. I felt like a fu***ng unstoppable goddess the whole time. I felt like I was going to puke most of the time.

I had no idea who was growing inside me. I just knew they were Isadore Hawk, sent from my Beloved in the Great Beyond. My relationship with loss had become so intimate that I wasn’t fully convinced they would make it, until she was uncoiled from her twisted cord, laid across my chest and gazed with Eric’s eyes into mine.

3 of the last 4 years I got terribly ill during the time of his death portal. (My reprieve in pregnancy was an ayahuasca / castor oil initiation of facing the possibility of stillbirth as I trusted her to choose to come, which ended up being 42+ weeks.)

This year I vowed it would be different. I vowed to burn through the trauma induced karma so I didn’t get taken down when he did. I enrolled in Marina Nabao retreat for erotic mystics. When the illness came on in mid-August, I summoned my inner bull and fought for my health, and it worked.

In the 5 days before his Yartzeit, I prayed through my psssy in the circle Marina gathered. I o r g a s m e d myself through the grief portal and did a ritual of completion for the trauma I was reliving each year.

That night I offered a silent disco ritual under the moon, dancing joyously in my underpants, as I often did with Eric, reclaiming another layer of my sovereign power.

My pregnancy was the ultimate union of contradictions:

Savoring the magic moments and feeling the misery of relentless nausea.

Tremendous gratitude for being able to carry the child of my deceased husband while feeling the searing pain of grief for the loss of my partner in parenting and life.

Feeling lonely yet so deeply held by my village.

Trusting that my body was a safe home for my child while also asking my midwife for a Doppler to listen to their heartbeat daily in the last few weeks.

Feeling strong and like an ultimate badass and tired AF.

Looking forward to my decades long dream of home water birth coming true and surrendering to a Cesarian birth.

We never know how it’s going to go. But we always have the choice to turn toward our power. To hold our sovereignty while seeking support that can illuminate our blind spots and hold us through the unexpected.

For 26 years I have been teaching the tools to ride these waves. To embrace what we cannot control and to stay focused on the practices that nourish us through the dark and mysterious moments.

Practicing breathwork, sensual movement, techniques to stay in connection with your baby and lighting yourself up with pleasure will always make the journey feel more your own. It’s is how we can meet the initiation as a place where we step into our power rather than being stripped of it by the patriarchal medical industrial complex.

Let me show you how.

I’m deep in integrating my week with Marina Nabao and a circle of devoted erotic mystics.

I joined the retreat with the intention to alchemize the next layer of pain, trauma, grief and stickiness around the earthly transition of my Beloved Eric.

Today marks 5 years since he left his body for the Great Beyond.

It was through joining VITA Coaching with Marina and Layla Martin that I brought myself back to life from the ashes of our beyond beautiful life… so it seemed only right that I’d take refuge in the power of my psssy to help me pass through this year’s gate.

Softening through our shadow explorations felt easy, an affirmation of how much shadow walking I’ve done these years.

As we approached the possibility of cosmic bliss towards the end of the retreat, my cervix revealed her deeply held grief and trauma around our journey to bring Isadore earth side. The procedures and losses, the birthing efforts to pry her open against the pressure of my fibroids. And as I cried it all out, squeezed the suffering into my jade egg, as witches have been doing for millennia, the gratitude shone in as the sun peaked over the treetops. She held Isadore inside me. She kept her safe. She gave her all the time she needed to develop, to be nourished in the dark, lushness of my womb.

As I’ve done in medicine ceremony, I moved the darkest pain out of my body in collaboration with the light.

That evening I laid my egg upon the earth, to release what I’ve been holding all this time, to cure in the light of the nearly full moon. To be blessed by my Beloved who is most active at this time of the month.

There’s so much more to say about the retreat and what it gave me, but for now I’ll land on my appreciation for the vortex of grief. That spiral whose momentum cannot be contained to the mourning of just one loss. It was in laying myself down on sacred land to mourn my lover that I could heal this layer left from our most magnificently mystical creation, Isadore.

This bestie crawled into my bed to snuggle the weepy mess of me on many a lonely night after Eric’s death.  She rocks birthday present-giving like no other.  Everytime she comes over she’s bearing a handful of Little Free Library books for my voracious little reader, along with hand-me-downs from her kids.  She got me dancing during Izzy’s birth and blessed up our L&D room with the most magnificent altar.  She teaches me about prayer, devotion and opening one’s heart even wider.  She inspires ocean plunges even on the coldest, foggiest, dreariest days.  She’s always game to rally to the dance floor. And never misses honoring a significant moment, whether it’s a high or a low.

I met this beauty of a Bestie in an online practice container during the pandemic.

We had met briefly when she was pregnant a number of years prior, but it wasn’t until we were inside of this container led by Verve Wellness Studio where we were uplifting ourselves out of lockdown funk by going through Regena Thomashauer practices that Ali and I really came to be IRL besties.

Shortly after we became friends, she came on her first Juicy Ladies Retreat, and within a couple of years, she became an essential part of the crew. Now she holds the spiritual ethos of our community, teaching our whole circle how to pray, integrate our ceremonies and move through whatever aches we encounter along the way.

This is the kind of friends that could be waiting for you inside of Aliveness!

Though our whole container is online, we’ll have ample opportunity to connect IRL and get to know the people that could be our next plunge buddies, mom friends, suck at home soup bringers, life ceremony space holders.

We begin tomorrow, so now’s the time to dive in!

And yes, Ali True will be there, too!

I’m so excited to be joining Jane Austin Mamatree teacher training in October, and I want to share something I’ve never taught in a training before.

This is a culmination of over 25 years of working in the realms of pregnancy, birth, pleasure, pain, trauma and yonis.

When I did my own teacher training in 2000, we never addressed our own relationship with our yonis. I think that was a mistake. What I’ve learned since is that my transmission as a prenatal yoga teacher was enhanced by my own connection with my own yoni. As I grew into a more empowered, healed relationship with my body, I became able to go into uncomfortable territory with my students in a way I think a lot of teachers can’t.

My life’s work is helping people get more liberated, conscious, and connected in their relationship with their yonis.

So I’m approaching the day I’m teaching at Mamatree as a mini retreat, a journey into your own yoni consciousness. As we become more embodied, present, and alive in our own bodies, we’ll move into the practices I teach for preparing your va**na for birth, and all of the delicious restorative poses that help yonis open, soften, and make way for baby. And not just for the babies of our students, but for our own pleasure and aliveness as teachers.

I don’t want my daughter to grow up thinking her mother is busy all the time.

I want her to see me resting. Playing. Soaking in a hot tub. Doing my practices. Lying on the couch in the sun. Laughing with my friends. Eating slow meals on a blanket in the park. Splashing in the ocean with delight. Taking in all the pleasure life has to offer. I want her to know that life is to be lived and enjoyed, that it’s not just a series of tasks to be completed.

I think about how often I say to her, “I have to go to work now.” And I don’t want her to think that’s all I do, even though my work sometimes feels like play, even though it’s deeply fulfilling and world changing. I want her to see me being loved, being touched, doing late afternoon downward dogs to unwind from the day. I want her to feel me, to know me as a happy mother. A resourced mother. A mother who radiates pleasure and joy, who lives in connection not only with her duties, but with the wholeness of her glorious life.

If I want my daughter to know what it is to take her time, I need to slow my breath and rush less. If I want her to trust her process, I need to actually be in my own. If I want her to drop in deep enough that she can feel the flow she actually wants to move with, that is my curriculum.

This is what Aliveness is. Twelve months of practice built to help you put yourself back at the center of your own life. Not as an escape from motherhood or work or duty, but as the ground that makes all of it sustainable and even, enjoyable. Weekly yoni yoga. Cathartic release practices. Self-pleasure journeys. Monthly dance rituals. Seasonal circles. A container held by me along with my most trusted witches, and a whole community flowing through the year with you.

Your kids don’t need a mother who has disappeared into her responsibilites. They need to watch you come home to yourself. Again and again.

We begin in ritual this Saturday, September 19. Everything is recorded. One hour a week. All women and yoni havers, at all stages of life, are welcome.

You are worth it.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about lineage. About the traditions, rituals, beliefs and practices that make up our lives, and where they intersect with the conditioning that is passed down from mother to daughter.

Given my own wounding and healing, and the ways that journey has woven into my work, I mother with my lens focused on what we are taught about bodies and how to live and love inside them.

So many of the women that I work with feel, see, and know themselves as cycle breakers, as ones who are charting a dramatically different course from that of the women that have come before them. They are reclaiming lost aspects of feminine power, agency, and desire.

I wonder how many of the cycles that I think I have burned and composted will become fresh buds of empowered ways of being for Isadore.

At first, when I started to make Juicy Ladies t-shirts for her, I just thought it was cute and fun. Last summer, she was too little to really know anything about the iconography on the shirt or the meaning of the name of our community. But this year, as she’s more aware of how people are responding to the claim of juiciness across her chest, I can feel the medicine working on her.  She’s proud to point out the yoni on her shirt, my hat or an auntie’s water bottle sticker.

Isadore notes yonis everywhere we go.  Like me, she sees them in trees, flowers, and graphic patterns.  She talks openly about hers and loves to acknowledge mine in our sweet liminal moments of bathing and dressing. I pray her relationship with yoni grows into a life long love affair with this epicenter of her aliveness.

Having her on the Juicy Ladies Retreat this summer felt so right, along with all our other very juicy summer adventures where we could be our juiciest, most uncensored selves. Surrounding her with women heartily feeding their bodies, swimming nked, laughing wildly, living into their pleasure, and dancing their aliveness is the way I want to teach her… it’s how she’ll get to find her own way of being in this one divine vessel the Goddess has gifted her… the one body that could be her beloved friend or her battlefield.

I wonder if this happened to you.

You were two years old when you found your voice. You connected to your primal will and started expressing it.

At some point, that stopped being welcome. Maybe you were ignored. Maybe you were called whiny or needy. Maybe you learned you were “too much.” So you learned to want less, need less, ask for less.

Like a lot of the women I work with, you carried that conditioning into your relationships. It became easier for partners when you didn’t ask for much. When you put everyone else’s needs ahead of your own.

Then one day you realize: you’ve lost touch with desire. You’re a grown woman, and if someone asked what you actually want, you might not know how to answer.

I see this constantly. Women waking up to the fact that they DO have desires, and that they’re allowed to want them.

To find what you want, you have to love yourself, fully. That love is what makes you believe you’re worthy of having it. You give yourself permission.

You start feeding yourself pleasure, and at first it can feel awkward as hell, because you’ve learned to tolerate so little space for yourself.

This is where pleasure practice comes in. Through loving self touch, we bathe ourselves in our own attention. Old stuff comes up: numbness, unworthiness, voices that were never even ours. But when we return again and again, the love seeps in. Into our skin, our nervous system, our whole sense of self.

Eventually you start rejecting the stories that shrank your voice and your desire.

YOUR WHOLE FCKING LIFE CHANGES. At work. In your relationships. With your body. And it gets so much more fun.

This is the medicine we explore inside Aliveness: a 12-month practice container for busy women ready to weave pleasure back into their lives.

One hour a week. Just enough. Not too much. Link in bio to join.
