Last week, we hosted See, Test & Treat, an annual program offering free health screenings for women, transgender men, and gender-diverse people ages 21–65 who are uninsured or underinsured. This year, we screened 71 individuals for cancer and other health issues — an incredible accomplishment. Thank you to all of our volunteers, and to the College of American Pathologists Foundation for their generous grant to make this event possible!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, CHA Cambridge Breast Center held two pop-up events increasing education and promoting screenings. Team members shared information about mammograms, breast cancer screening, and the importance of early detection with patients and visitors.

As an organization deeply committed to improving the health of older adults, CHA was proud to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Cambridge on Sunday. Team CHA was led by Dr. Mariko Wong, division chief of geriatrics, and Dr. Daphne Schneider, a geriatrician in CHA’s senior care program.

More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's, and Alzheimer's deaths have more than doubled in the past 25 years. Last weekend at the Head of the Charles Regatta, staff from the Department of Community Health connected with 70 community members, providing information on CHA services, vaccines, new patient enrollment, CHA Birth Center, and the Orthopaedics Department, while administering 68 free blood pressure screenings.
