November education programs are open for registration! 🏫💜

In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, we have tons of opportunity for in-person caregiver education, as well as a unique, virtual Equipped For Care series hosted by our friends at the Massachusetts / New Hampshire Chapter: From understanding the financial impact of dementia to exploring cultural perspectives on care, building practical foundations of caregiving, and connecting with support, each session offers valuable information and resources to help you navigate the journey. Find the one that’s right for you at alz.org/manh/events/family-caregiver-month.

Mid-month, we'll also be partnering with AARP-CT as they host two free 🎥 screenings of Watching Mr. Pearson, a Connecticut-made film that highlights the family caregiver experience, with an informational discussion including our chapter staff to follow both. Visit aarp.org/ctcaregiving to learn more and reserve your spot!

Visit alz.org/CRF or call our 24/7 Helpline: 800.272.3900 to explore all these programs and register to join us today.

Beautiful moment at our Greater Hartford Walk to End Alzheimers. Our blue flower holder, Lee Ross, shared powerful news that he is now virtually amyloid free after being on an FDA approved medication for the last 18 months.
We are so grateful to him!
THIS is where some of your donations go.
Thank you all!!! ❤️💙💜

Krystina Carbone and her partner Alan were caregivers for Alan’s mom who passed away last year after a battle with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia.
Krystina says,”It was important for us to honor Nana Jeanette's wishes and treat her with as much dignity and care the best we could until the very end.”
They will be walking in the Greater Hartford Walk to End Alzheimer’s this Saturday - Halloween - as Team Nana’s Bananas, to honor the woman who loved to dress up on this holiday.
See her with the family dog Maverick as Nana Banana and a Monkey, a Pizza Chef and Pizza and a Safari guide and a Lion.
Great ideas you can borrow at the walk to be a part of the Pet Costume Contest! Bring your furry friends!
Hope to see you there! 👻🎃💜
