Today we said goodbye to Jenny Early, FHCA’s Marketing & Partner Development Manager of nearly 15 years. It was a bittersweet farewell, but we know this next chapter she’ll embark on will be the most rewarding as she retires to put her focus on her family.

Current and former team members, old friends and board members came together to wish Jenny well and recognize her achievements. President Josh Wagoner also honored her with a President’s Impact Award for her years of service. Jenny leaves behind a legacy of elevating the FHCA brand, making every event and member experience meaningful with her creative talents and serving the members, and especially our business partners, with tremendous professionalism.

We’re thankful for you Jenny and wish you all the best!

FHCA partnered with Dream Flights today to honor our local Veteran residents with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take flight in a restored WWII biplane. It was an incredible day with these heroes from Aviata at Tallahassee, Aviata at the Gardens Tallahassee, Care Management Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center and the The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs Robert H. Jenkins Jr. Domiciliary.

We're thankful to our President Josh Wagoner and all the caregivers, family members and community supporters who joined us to help make today special. These Veterans gave so much to our country and we are proud to have the chance to give back and thank them for their service. Thank you to Million Air FBO, Tallahassee, FL for hosting us again - such a great day of smiles, laughter and celebration!

This National Healthcare Facilities and Engineering Week, we recognize Kevin Gilbert, Maintenance Director at Lake Bennet Center for Rehab and Healing, who was honored as the FHCA 2026 Plant Operations Impact Award. For almost 34 years, Kevin has played an integral role in maintaining a safe, compliant and comfortable environment for residents. Kevin has also built meaningful relationships with each of the residents and brings joy to the community each year by being the facility’s Santa Claus. Thank you for all that you do Kevin!

In celebration of Make a Difference Day, we’re recognizing Sharon Morris, FHCA’s 2026 Volunteer of the Year. Transforming the loss of her mother into a beautiful act of service, Sharon Morris plays the piano four days a week for residents at Brynwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. Her dedication and volunteerism truly make a difference every day in the lives of these residents. Thank you Sharon!

It's been a great few days with our Board of Directors and Committee Chairs for strategic planning and an informative meeting on Association business and long term care developments. Thank you to our president, Josh Wagoner, for your leadership in bringing this group together. This International Infection Prevention Week, we recognize the critical role that Infection Preventionists play in long term care centers. From preventing the spread of disease and helping to reduce re-hospitalizations, these team members are helping to protect vulnerable residents and staff, while enhancing quality of life and promoting a safe environment for all.

In recognition of National Pharmacy Week, we’re celebrating Jill Daly of Guardian Pharmacy who was named FHCA’s 2026 Willis J. Gregson Associate Member of the Year. Jill is an active member of the Associate Member Support Committee who demonstrates remarkable leadership and support for FHCA, serving Florida’s long term care profession for over 25 years. Congratulations Jill and thank you for all that you do!
