When neck liposuction isn’t enough, what other options are available?

Not every concern beneath the chin is caused by excess fat. Sometimes, the underlying muscles and other structures of the neck also contribute to fullness or a less defined jawline.

That’s where submentoplasty comes in.

Unlike traditional neck liposuction, which primarily removes fat, submentoplasty allows surgeons to address additional structures beneath the chin to improve the overall contour of the upper neck.

It may be an option for patients who haven’t seen the results they hoped for with non-surgical fat reduction treatments, or those who continue to experience fullness beneath the chin despite changes in weight.

1 Year Post-Op from Rhinoplasty! 👃

This patient came to Dr. Gardenier with concerns about a bump along the bridge of her nose and a nasal tip that drooped and extended farther outward than she wanted.

Dr. Gardenier performed a rhinoplasty to smooth the bump along her nasal bridge, lift the tip, and bring it slightly closer to her face for a more natural-looking profile.

He also used cartilage from inside her nose to provide additional support, helping maintain the new shape and position of the nasal tip.

These before-and-after photos show her results 1 Year Post-Op. While most swelling typically subsides within the first few months, the nose can continue to heal and take shape for a year or longer.

12 Days Post-Op, and already looking more refreshed! 👀

Under-eye bags and sagging skin can sometimes create a tired appearance, even when you’re feeling well-rested.

This patient came to Dr. Nye with concerns about sagging and puffiness beneath his eyes. To address these concerns, Dr. Nye performed a lower blepharoplasty with fat grafting, helping create a smoother transition between the lower eyelids and cheeks.

The procedure was performed using a transconjunctival approach, meaning the lower eyelid incisions were made internally, leaving no visible external lower eyelid incision scars.

At just 12 days post-op, his under-eye area already appears smoother and less puffy, giving him a brighter, more rested appearance. And these are still early results, with healing and refinement continuing over the coming weeks and months! 🙌
