Living with MS can come with challenges like muscle weakness, balance changes, stiffness, and fatigue. Incorporating simple, consistent movements into your routine can help maintain strength, mobility, and independence.❤️
Here are 3 exercises to help keep you moving:
🔹Sit to Stands: Helps strengthen your legs and improve the functional strength needed for everyday activities like getting up from a chair.
🔹Wall Push-Ups: Builds upper-body strength while working on shoulder stability and making everyday pushing movements easier.
🔹Calf Stretch: Helps maintain ankle flexibility, reduce muscle tightness, and support mobility and walking mechanics.
You don’t have to do everything at once. Start where you are, listen to your body, and focus on consistency over intensity. A little movement goes a long way!
If you have MS and are noticing changes in your strength, balance, or mobility, a physical therapist can help you find exercises that are appropriate for your needs.
*Exercise tolerance varies with MS. Take breaks as needed, avoid overheating, and don’t push through worsening symptoms.
