What if you don't want hormone therapy?
What if you don't want weight loss medications?
Those are fair questions, and I hear them often. Hormone therapy and weight loss medications are tools. They aren't the only ones, and they aren't right for everyone.
If perimenopause or menopause has you sleeping badly, gaining weight around your middle, or just feeling off — and you don't want hormone therapy — there are other places to start:
• Strength training 2–3 times a week to protect muscle and bone
• Enough protein at every meal
• A steady sleep routine (yes, it matters this much)
• Lab work, so we know what's actually going on and aren't guessing
• Non-hormonal options we can talk through together
If weight loss is the goal and you don't want weight loss medications, same idea. Long before injectable options were everywhere, our team helped people lose weight with protein, strength training, sleep, stress support, and labs that explain the metabolic picture — not just the scale. Those tools still work, and for a lot of people they're the better first step. Not wanting a medication doesn't mean you're out of options.
You get to choose your path. My job is to explain your options clearly so you can decide what fits you.
